Chuck arrived right on time and explained the situation. He provided a quote for the initial work, which required cutting a hole in the sheetrock of an adjacent closet (but not the ceiling downstairs). Once he had had gotten into the wall and opened up the drainpipe, he gave me and estimate of the time needed to resolve the issue. It was a tricky job and required a good bit of patience and carpentry, but Chuck finally got the pieces of cable out of my plumbing. In so doing, he saved my ceiling and earned Baker Brothers a new customer. The price I have submitted may SEEM expensive, but for the work that was done and the time spent (approx. 4 hrs) I think Baker Brothers is more than fair. Plumbing is generally an expensive undertaking, but at each step of the way, Chuck gave me an updated quote to keep me in the loop. This was greatly appreciated.
Description of Work: Another plumbing company has attempted to snake a bathtub drain on the second floor of my house. The cable broke and I was told that my only options were to cut a hole in the antique wood plank ceiling in my kitchen or to cut and leave the cable in the plumbing. I chose the latter, certain I did not want these people to do any more work in my home.

I would never use them as I felt like they were just interested in selling a new water heater. Thank goodness we got it lit before they got here.
Description of Work: I had a pilot light go out this morning, however got it back on before they arrived and discovered the the vent pipe was looose. Decided to let them still come to make sure everything was good.

Response from Baker Brothers Plumbing, Air & Electric
We're glad the Member decided to still have a licensed plumber inspect their water heater and venting and get his experienced observation. In general, a water heater has a lifespan of 7-10 years. The Member's water heater is already 10 years old, and since repairs are not inexpensive, an ethical plumber will not encourage a customer to spend a lot of money on repairing one that age, where things continue to break down, and ultimately they end up needing a new water heater. Our plumber recycled the thermostat at no charge and explained that if the heater ended up needing a gas valve upgrade to stay lit, it would be several hundred dollars. If the Member replaces the water heater, we will automatically include replacing the bad vent pipe at no additional charge. We respect the Member's decision not to replace their water heater or venting at this time. However, the plumber acted professionally and did his job by providing them with options and pricing now, so they can make an informed decision in the future.

As with any large service business, it's only as good as its people (and their judgment) and leadership. There are so many variables in execution of a robust service model, these variables cannot all line up perfectly for each service call and there are bound to be periodic hiccups. It's how effectively a company's leadership deals with such hiccups that truely defines the service level of a company. Hands down - Baker Brothers has this leadership and quality of service level. On a routine service call to replace cartridges for leaking showers, the technician was asked to check out the water heaters. The technician was prompt on time - about 1 pm. Since the water heaters were 16-years old, I knew that they likely needed to be replaced. I was interested in (a) ensuring that they were not badly leaking and (b) getting a reasonable quote. The technician checked the water heaters and said that one had a very slow leak and they needed to be replaced. Really no surprise and no alarm. I asked for him to provide a quote. I had to leave the house and my nanny stayed with the technician. My nanny called me later with a quote to replace the cartridges and a quote to replace the water heaters. I authorized the cartridge replacements (~$500) but held off on the water heater replacements. I wanted to explore options (such as tankless) and ensure that the water heater quote was competitive, which would take me a couple of days to do. The technician then proceeded to shut down the water to the house and replace the cartridges in the leaking showers. He turned the water back on and went on his way. The nanny also left the house. When I returned home that evening about 9 pm, the water heater had a massive leak. The leak flow was too large because the overflow basin could not contain the water and route it to outside drainage. The water was leaking through the ceiling and on the walls and carpet. I immediately turned off the water and called the president, Jimmie Dale. Jimmie called me back about 10:30 pm and also personnally came to my house the next day with his service manager. What we surmised is that the turning off and back on of the water to replace the cartridges likely drove the water heater to break into a heavy leak . Perhaps an experienced service technician should have anticipated this likelihood, but it was missed nonetheless. Without hesitation, Jimmie offered to paint the ceiling (which was done later) and after some discussion with Jimmie and his service manager, I decided to replace the water heaters with a tankless system. As for the carpet, there was a bit of luck - it did not need to be addressed because it was to be pulled up and replaced with hardwood flooring that same week. In the middle of difficulty is when a company's service model is challenged and that's where real execution matters. The buck stops with the company's leadership. Baker Brothers followed through on their service model and demonstrated the company's service level and committment to its customer. And the technician also benefited from a lessons learned perspective that will likely prevent a similar occurence will other customers in the future. - the service delivery improved from this experience.

Very pleased. Professional, prompt, uniforms, knowledgeable Patient showing how to do it and answering questions Cleaned up Cheerfully accepted Angie's List coupon and deducted $50.00 from my bill, which included the $100.00 flush kit The coupon made the price seem right. I've used Baker Brothers about 4 times. My general feeling about them is that they do excellent work, but generally price things slightly high, but not by much. I felt great about the price here with the coupon discount. I've always been happy with their work and would definitely choose them for things that really need to be done right. They charge by the job, rather than by the hour. Since most plumbing seems to take a lot of time, that can be a real plus.

POSITIVE Replaced the upstairs tub/shower hardware for free The 2nd popup assembly was discounted $20.59 They call 45 min in advance to let you know they're coming, so you're not stuck at the house waiting. Charged by the job rather than by the hour. Cutoff valve to the toilet they installed was superior to the one I had. Willing to drive a distance for brass parts First plumber called for another to help when he realized how long it would take Plumber at front hydrant realized by turning the hydrant that there was a problem in the wall. He removed some bricks and found a bad weld that would have separated and caused major problems. Extremely pleased with new hydrants and all work done Loved the Angie's List coupon Seemed very knowledgeable, wore uniforms, kept me informed No problem accepting coupon NEGATIVE I called & left a message over the weekend but they never called back. I called them again on Tuesday and they came over almost immediately. Gave my needs in detail to lady on phone so plumber would have all he needed when he came out. But all he knew when he got here was just a general reference to a malfunctioning toilet. Tech said the tankless water heater service service would have to be done by a specialized group in the company. He said he'd call & set it up. He never did. The lady on the phone should have set up the second group to come out. So I had to schedule it the next day Got carpet dirty from dirty shoes in bathroom and didn't offer to vacuum it up. I would have refused, but thought they'd offer Felt price was a bit high, but discounts made it more comfortable. Ex: Charged $136.69 to replace toilet fill valve. But, Angie's List coupon saved $50.00. He installed bathtub hardware for free. They reduced price of 2nd popup from $157.86 to $137.27. I lowered the score on professionalism due to communications with their office, not scheduling tankless service by office or plumber, and dirty carpet. (Easily came up with vacuum.)
Description of Work: I called Baker Brothers and discussed these things to be sure plumber would have what he needed: Replace fill valve in toilet tank Replace toilet cutoff valve at wall Replace 3 freeze-proof hydrants Replace 2 corroded popup drain assemblies in bathroom sinks Replace upstairs tub/shower hardware (I already had the hardware.) Maintenance/flush on tankless water heater plus kit/instructions they have for me to do it myself another time.

Went very well. The leak ended up being a little off from where first thought nad as a result they tunnelled about 8 feet to find it. No extra charge to me. A messy job to jackhammer into my floor and tunnel that far - had to carry the dirt out, then later back, by the bucket full. They showed up to locate the leak the day after I calkled and were ready to start work the next day, though I was not. They worked with my schedule. I will call them next time I need plumbing services.

Our company policy is to document any complaints by customers and address them immediately. However, we have no record the Member ever contacted us with a grievance when the repair was being done in 2008, up to this time in 2011. We do have documentation showing the Member was provided with a written estimate of $1,675.00, not $17,000.00, for the repair, which he accepted. Upon completion of the work, we tested the repair to make sure it held - and it did. After this was cone, the Member signed the paperwork stating he was satisfied with the quality of the work performed. We were completely surprised to learn three years later on Angie's List that he was dissatisfied. We contacted the Member to get more details and offered to send a manager to his home to discuss this matter and see firsthand the area of concern, but he declined. Although the Member does not want us to come to his home to investigate this issue at this time, we assured him we are willing to accommodate him at any time in the future should he change his mind. We can assure anyone using Baker Brothers Plumbing they can depend on getting quality workmanship and a warranty we stand behind.

I am in the middle of buying a house and the home inspector noticed some settling on the house (which was built in 1965). This could either be from pipes leaking or a little foundation settling caused by a big tree in the front yard. We first wanted to eliminate the chance of leaking pipes so I called Baker Bros. They promised me an appointment for 8am the next day. I called and scheduled the realtor to meet me at the house at 8am. Sure enough we arrived but our plumber didn't. I got a phone call from Chris saying that he would be there between 8:30-9:00am, so the realtor and I had to wait a while longer. Bless her heart it was her day off and she had plans with her husband to do things. After waiting for a while longer, I called Chris back at 8:55 to see where he was and to get an ETA. He was right around the corner and sure enough he was there by 9am with only a minute to spare. I went ahead and had him scope the pipes where he was able to determine that there was no pipe problems that he could see (great news!). It cost me $350 to scope out the pipes in the area of the tree, which i thought was a little expensive but it needed to be done and I didn't have time to have another plumber look at it for a lower rate. So i paid him but I expected him to be there when he was promised at 8am. I know it was an hour but for someone like me who depended on someone else to let me into the residence and be present during the consult, it was important to be on time. He was very professional and clear about the prices, just to be clear, he just wasn't there at the time I was told on the phone.

We certainly appreciate the Member's concern in regard to expecting us to be at the location by 8:00 a.m. However, when scheduling jobs, all of our Call Center representatives are trained to give a window of between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. for arrival, allowing for traffic, etc., which is never predictable on any given morning. The technician is also trained to call and inform the homeowner that they are on the way, and their expected time of arrival, which appears to have happened properly in this case. It is always possible that the call representative did not emphasize that it is a time range between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., not a specific time on the front end of that range, which is something we will continue to work with them on. We certainly apologize for this confusion, as well as, any inconvenience that the customer experienced.

I received a call from a company rep who was unable to understand the scope of my project. She requested I send an email to her so she can pass the info on to her boss. She asked several questions about my business. The call ended with her company not being able to handle construction jobs. She spoke about a position she held in Florida and I never asked about her work history. I attempted to get her email address several times but she never heard me asked for her email because she talked over me. I finally just thanked her for calling and hung up.

As, I said in the paragraph above, the service was exceptional from the receptionist to the tech. They were very personable and efficient!
Description of Work: We had a problem in the Master Shower of a rental property. The receptionist was very courteous and was able to have a service technician out that day. The shower head had been stripped, but there was also a valve problem. He was able to fix it on the spot and the job was completed in a timely manner. The service tech was very personable and explained the problem, so that I could understand it! I will use Baker Brothers again!

The plumber was on-time, professional, and explained they priced on a "per job" basis. He provided a fixed price quote up-front, and even though he had to leave to get some parts, they did not change the price of the service. He completed the job in a reasonable amount of time, and I have since been able to install the dishwasher.
Description of Work: In order to have a new dishwasher installed I needed Bakers Brothers to make some changes to the original plumbing. I needed them to cap-off a non-standard drain used for the old dishwasher, and then adjust the plumbing under the sink to accept a more "typical" method of draining the dishwasher.

Update: inspections finally passed & work placed in service. They planned to backfill the trench, but I told them I will do that as I want to also use it to run some irrigation & I don't trust them to follow instructions to partially fill it to leave me room to do that. In short: A 1-day easy project turned into a 1.5 week nightmare. Learn from my mistake: DO NOT pay these people until they have passed city inspections!!! I had what I thought was a relatively simple project: Replace 10' of existing 3/4" gas pipe with 1" to my pool heater, extend the line to my grill 20' away, and go up to medium pressure to deliver the right amount of volume to my pool heater. I had a plumber I had used before with very good service but rather steep price quote it. They said that aside from the digging (which they would charge an extra $500 for if they did it), it was an easy job to run poly gas line. They quoted the job at over $2700 not including digging. I felt this was excessive and wanted to get a 2nd opinion. While I looked for a second contractor to quote the job, I dug the trench myself, exactly to what code requires. Just after I finished the trench (quite a job in itself), I found the good reviews of Baker Bros. on Angie's List & gave them a call. Their quote came in over $1000 less than the other service. They also said the job was easy, but didn't specify what type of piping. I gave them the job & they scheduled for the next day. The next day (a Wednesday), they called asking to push the job to Thursday. I agreed, and Thursday morning they showed up and got started. I had already explained that I preferred to have the pipe for the grill discretely routed. When I came home after they called to say they were done, I found the pipe very conspicuously mounted & the plumber saying what a beautiful job he did. I suppose a plumber has a different aesthetic & wants the world to see their work. They had already scheduled the city inspection for Friday morning, so I didn't press the issue too much...I figured I could hide it with plants. I was rather surprised that they had run black iron piping. I took off work Friday to babysit the inspection & planning to spend the rest of the day covering the pipe and getting the beds ready for planting. The inspector showed up first thing Friday morning, before the plumber had arrived to put the pressure test on. The inspector wrote up not only the lack of a pressure test, but also that they had run black iron without a pvc wrap. He also noted that the vents on the regulators were not pointed down. Failed. The inspector commented "I don't know why they didn't just run poly." The plumber arrived just after the inspector left and I showed him the report. He then set about wrapping the pipe, and since he was having to do some re-work, I asked him to see if there was anything he could do about the routing of the pipe to the grill. It only took him about 15 minutes to route it in a nice, inconspicuous manner. I don't know why he didn't do that to begin with. He got the office to schedule the re-inspection. He said he'd be there at 7:30 Monday morning so as to be sure to beat the inspector. Meanwhile, I found out it was my responsibility to call the gas company to change out the meter. They did, and on Saturday I had a problem with my gas service to the house. I called the gas company & they checked it out & found that the regulator the plumber had installed on the gas line had not been set & was not delivering gas. The gas company fixed that at no charge to me & was very courteous--even spotting another potential issue and fixing it on the spot. Monday morning inspection #2 starts. The inspector (different one) arrives at 8AM and the plumber is not there. Once again, no pressure test. This inspector notes that the plumber used a union below grade, which is not allowed, and also looked puzzled at the pipe-wrap job. He inspected it closer and found that the plumber had just applied tape on top of the pipe to make it look like it had been wrapped. Failure of inspection #2. This inspector had the same comment: "Why didn't they just run poly? The hardest part of this job is digging the trench." Yep, that's right...*I* did the hardest part of the job, yet I get to pay for it. I get on the horn with Baker Bros. office and they want to call the inspector back out once the pressure test is on. I explained the other flags on the report. Later, I get a call from the plumber and he says that the next day when he has some help, he will pull it all out and get it fixed right. Tuesday, he arrives and does pull everything out, wraps the pipe, etc. Wednesday morning, he finally shows up early to put the pressure test on the line. Things are looking up. Only, the inspector never shows. I call the office and they don't know what is going on. The plumber left the pressure test on the line overnight. Thursday morning (fully a week after starting all this), the inspector arrives, but no plumber. (see a pattern? They have never met face-to-face.) The inspector passes the pressure test and inspects the tape job and replacement of union with hard piping. He's happy with that, but for some reason, the plumber did not tape the fittings that were below grade. Failure #3. This time, for just a few inches of pipe wrap. Had the plumber been on site, we might have gotten it taken care of before the inspector left. I called the office and let the inspector talk to them. A couple hours later, I get a call asking me to come let the plumber in. I explain that I left the gate unlocked, so they can let themselves in. They do, and tape up the fittings. However, I don't receive a call to verify that they have scheduled a new inspection. If they didn't, I'm waiting until Monday to try and pass. I call the office to verify & they are going to "call me right back" with an answer. I didn't get an answer until I called the next morning. Friday morning, I called to confirm a final inspection will be taking place that day. They said it would be (update: later checking on the city's permit website showed no inspection scheduled for either Friday or the following Monday). They left a pressure check on (even though they actually passed that part on the last inspection). But of course, no plumber is present. I came home at noon to check, and nobody had been by. I called Baker Bros. again, and finally got a call-back from Amber, who is the dispatcher & manages setting up inspections. She confirmed that they paid for an inspection yesterday & it should happen today. As soon as it is done "they will be out there to put the work in service and backfill." As of 5pm...no inspector, no evidence that anyone did anything. They of course can now point at the city inspector for not showing. Shocking, right? Never heard back Friday evening. But Saturday, another young man from their service shows up to backfill, but says he doesn't have tools so he can't put it in service until Monday. I ask him if he has confirmation that it was green-tagged, because I haven't seen any evidence of a final inspection having been passed. He calls the office and they are unable to confirm, as it is Saturday. I'm waiting until Monday for anything else. Monday morning: nothing. No inspector, no plumber. I called Baker Bros. office again. They once again have to go confirm things. This time, they call right back and say that the city won't guarantee that the inspection will be on the day requested. I smell a rat. Later, at work, I get a call from a manager asking what they can do to make me happy. I reply that they can get it to pass final inspection and put it in service! They are going to "try" to make that happen Tuesday. No voluntary offer of anything else.... Tuesday, finally got & passed final inspection. I had them come hook it up. So far, so good. I'm a DIY'er, but I hire a pro for gas work. On many forums I see pro plumbers badmouthing DIY'ers and stating reasons for hiring a pro as: "they know the codes and don't cut corners". Well...in this case it appears that the plumber did NOT know the codes and DID try to cut corners. Not only that, but he didn't listen to my request, nor was he prompt in arriving for the inspections. Color me less than impressed. Downright disappointed. I am flabbergasted that THREE inspections were failed on GAS LINE WORK because the plumber either did not know the codes, or was too lazy to bother with trying to follow them. Running poly line, I know from watching other contractors in the past, this would have taken 2 hours, tops...and would have passed the 1st time. Instead, I had the plumber out to my house for so much time, it is hard to see how they can turn much of a profit on this job...excepting the fact that they charged over $1600 to run 30' of pipe in a pre-dug trench. (Makes that $2700+ quote seem staggeringly high; even if it probably would have passed 1st time) Another issue I'd like to note: This contractor left trash laying around (gloves in the trench, water bottles, plastic bags, sometimes tools that they recovered after a visit or two, etc.) I realize such a job generates trash, but a quick policing of the area at the end of the service call would be appreciated. Also, they spilled big globs of RectorSeal on my concrete aggregate pool deck and some of my stonework. I was able to clean up the major globs, but wasn't able to remove it all by hand. Hopefully, my power-washer can take care of it. On the bright side, the plumber was always courteous. Baker Brothers was prompt about one thing: cashing my check. I have never seen a check I wrote to a contractor clear the bank so fast. My check cleared a full week before the inspections of their job did! If I ever call Baker Bros. again, I will be in serious need of a mental examination. This was, in a word, ridiculous.

We have completed the job for Member and have confirmed with him that the issue is resolved, and he is now satisfied. We certainly regret the variety of concerns he was confronted with. What happened in this instance is contrary to what our technicians are trained to do, both from a technical and customer service standpoint. Additional training will occur with this individual until we are satisfied that this is resolved. We want to assure all our present and future customers that, first and foremost, customer satisfaction will continue to be the predominant focus with Baker Brothers Plumbing.

Very well. Liked that labor charges are set fees per service, not by the hour. After work began, the plumber came back and indicated I wouldnt need an expansion tank, reducing my estimate by $300. All work done same day. Added drip pan and drain line at no additional charge. Very pleased with the experience.

Called Baker Bros. The person on the other end extremely courteous and professional. Returned my call saying plumber would be there within 30-40 mins. In fact arrived within the next 5 mins. Shawn and James..very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Luckily it was not a 'huge' job, but still a problem. They gave us our options with pricing and warranty options. Gave the go ahead and they got to work immediately. The house is 50+ years old, and we were concerned about hidden costs. They cheerfully brought the parts from their supply store and completed the work in a very relaxed manner. We chose Baker Brothers because of their name and reputation. I think they are slightly higher priced than their competitors, but in the end you want to be satisfied with the work. Definitely happy with them. will not hesitate to use their services again.
Description of Work: Dug an area by our water meter, replaced the piece that connected the pipes from the property to the meter.

Took a few hours without successfully finding the source of the problem. The services were performed to the best of their ability I believe.

They were very professional, nice, informative and left me the parts to show to the landlord. I would be more than happy to recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They had to repair a sink that had sprung a leak back in December. I had $50.00 coupon from them that they listed on Angie's List.

They were very nice people. The faucet was pretty well rigged. They told us that if they had to go into the brick, it would be $547, or else it would be $200 and something. It could be either one depending on what he finds. They were very professional and polite, and were here exactly when they said they would be. He was inside the house, and he respected all the furniture when he walked about. We are going to have a second look from another provider before we make a decision. I think their prices are comparable, but I would still have one more company have a look at it.
Description of Work: We got an estimate from Baker Brothers Plumbing to have a faucet changed.

After reading my previous review of their services, Baker Brothers was very concerned and called me immediately to discuss. Shortly thereafter, they sent their customer service manager to my house to inspect the work that was done and see what they could do to resolve the issue. After review by the owner of the company, I received a full refund for the full amount of $712. I would recommend this company to others due to their dedication and commitment to keeping their customers happy.
Description of Work: Moved sink plumbing over to match up with new vanity; Installed new toilet valve and shower valve; moved shower faucet up 10 inches; cleaned tub drain.

They were on the Angie's List big deal and we bought the big deal. We paid $67 per toilet. They replaced the flappers and adjusted the levels. They made sure that everything was working well. We noticed that two of the toilets were leaking and hence, entered into the big deal on Angie's List as it was a big deal for us. They were very good, timely and efficient. They explained the whole process very well. They also asked us if we had any questions about plumbing and that they would answer them without an extra service charge. We asked them questions about the shower issue that we had. They explained as to what they would do and why. We were very pleased as they were very forth coming with the information as to why or why not their company would be the best bid. They did it very well.
Description of Work: We have used the services of Baker Brothers Plumbing on the 25th of February 2011. They did the maintenance on the three toilets in our house.

It went, no pun intended, swimmingly.
Description of Work: A terrible smell under my 1938 house turned out to be the result of stupidity by another 'company.' They had simply covered up up a sewer pipe instead of attaching it to the sewer - with Duct Tape! Baker fixed that in no time, and then checked under my kitchen sink, as I was uneasy about possible problems there. They recommended PVC piping, changed it, bid me goodby, and went away. These guys are fantastic. They speak English, they explained the options, they detected problems I didn't know about, and fixed everything. Baker handles even a very old house not in good shape.

I saw their ad in my monthly Angie's List circular, which they advertised "emergency services available", which I take it, their definition of an emergency is anything 72 hours or more since that's what I was told the soonest someone could get to me. I would NEVER think about calling these guys again and based on my experience, anyone reading this should think twice before doing so if you have an absolute emergency !!!
Description of Work: My hot water heater burst on Sat morning, 2/12/11, and I needed someone desperately to come to to either repair or replace it.

Response from Baker Brothers Plumbing, Air & Electric
Baker Brothers works diligently to respond to emergency calls within the shortest time possible. Due to the extreme weather conditions experienced in the Dallas area recently, we encountered an excessive number of emergency calls, so to be fair to everyone who contacted us, we had to treat them on a first-come first-serve basis. Regrettably, because the cold weather stayed with us so long, it eventually did result in a longer than normal response time in some cases. We apologize that in some rare instances our response time cannot be immediate, but with the bad weather behind us, we are once again able to provide the prompt turnaround time we are known for.

Plumber showed up on time, and was very courteous. He replaced the cartridges in the bathroom faucets to repair the leaks; they now work perfectly, better than before. The drain for the washing machine was more complicated than expected-he had to eventually run his cleaner through the vent line to get the clog unstuck. Where before water would back up through the drain pipe when doing laundry, it now drains properly. While it took longer than I expected, he wasn't padding his time out. The price was more than I'd expected, but not unreasonable when you consider the extra work he had to do on the drain. I felt confident in his repairs, and so far it's all working just fine.

It went very well. I appreciated the fact that they called me to tell me they had a cancellation and could come out sooner. Since our water was turned off, this was exactly what we needed! The technician did a great job explaining what he was doing and how he was going to repair the break. He could also tell that it had been repaired once before. My only comment, and it is a minor one, would be that when they replace the dirt, they try to place the pieces of grass back on top.
Description of Work: Identify the location of a yard leak and repair. The city came out and told us that we had a leak on our side of the meter after I called to report a meter leak after the snow and ice thawed. I phoned Baker Brothers at 8 am and they said they could be out and do the repair the same day. Within 30 minutes, I got a phone call that there was a cancellation and they could be out by 9. Since our water was turned off, this was great news! The technician arrived right on time and began working after I told him what had happened. He was able to dig up the grass and dig down to locate the leak. He repaired it by replacing the copper tubing that had broken. Once he turned the water back on, he suggested that I run my tub cold water to get any mud or dirt out of the lines that may have built up during the repair. He replaced the dirt and the work was complete.

Originally talked to Jeff who gave me a ton of information on water heaters and the process for installing. No sales pitch, just helpful information, which was important since I had never had a water heater problem and knew very little about them. Their pricing was very competitive (and I paid exactly what was quoted, no surprises) with the five other Angie Super Service Award winners and they said they could get the job done the next day so I decided to go with them. My experience only got better when Mike Salmon and Drew Floyd arrived. Both were very professional and the installation was done in an exceptional manner. Especially noteworthy is the fact that I called on Thursday afternoon and this work was done the next day, in the midst of Dallas' worst ice and snow storms that shut down most of the metroplex for four days. Despite very cold working conditions (the water heaters were in the garage) and treacherous roads, Mike and Drew arrived as promised and had great attitudes when it would have been very easy to complain. I HIGHLY recommend Baker Brothers and ESPECIALLY Mike and Drew, because at the end of the day, Mike and Drew are Baker Brothers to me!
Description of Work: Replaced two leaking water heaters
