Kory & his team did a great job painting our home. We just had some new landscaping put in & they were extremely careful around it. We walked around the house with Kory when they were done & didn’t see anything they missed. This is actually the 2nd time we’ve used them & will again if we need any more painting done.

Our house is 21 years old. The outside had not been painted in about 10 years. Jarrod H. gave a great estimation - detailing all the carpentry work, cleaning and painting. They repaired and/or replaced a lot of our siding, cleaned, scraped, sanded caulked all seams, primed all the new replacement wood and and painted. They covered all the windows with tape and plastic sheets after cleaning and before painting. They cleaned up as they worked around the outside of the house. It took 3 1/2 days to finish the project. as they could come one day because of rain. We were able to pick our siding and trim color and also changed the front door color. We love our new red front door. I would recommend and hire Protek Painting again.

I called this company for a bid after another Plano painting company stopped all communication with me after I accepted their bid. Kory was fantastic from the start. He explained everything thoroughly and the work received on my house was top notch. I highly recommend these guys and will definitely use them again.

This is the third time we’ve used Protek. They have painted the outside of our house, put up gutters, and they just did our roof. They did a fantastic job! Kory worked with us to hear what we wanted and show us our options. We were replacing our roof after hail damage, and he worked with the insurance people all the way through the job. Kory takes the time to answer all of your questions. He is very knowledgeable and wants to do the job right. He is prompt, and shows up on time when he says he’s going to be there. They were very careful with our yard and did a great job cleaning up. We would highly recommend him, and will use Protek again!

This is the second time that Protek Painting has painted the exterior of our house, and we can say with certainty that their excellent reputation is still intact. Jarrod was our initial point of contact, and he spent a significant amount of time walking the house with us and pointing out problem areas which needed to be addressed. Among these were several gutters which had rusted out over the course of the nearly 20 years we have been in this house. He also found a number of areas where the wood trim around our windows had developed wood rot. He presented us a bid for the work, separated out from the gutter work for which he gave us a quote the following day. Both estimates were very reasonable given the scope of the work. We agreed to complete the aluminum gutter work first, with painting to begin after the gutters were installed. We were very happy with the gutter company recommended by Protek. When the weather cleared, the crew began work on the job of replacing the rotten wood and power washing the house. As the work progressed, more rotten wood was discovered, and the price was adjusted to reflect the additional work. Cris and his crew did a terrific job of replacing rotten wood, power washing and caulking. After the significant amount of prep work the painting was completed over a 2-day period. Cris and his crew were courteous, friendly and professional. They went out of their way to please, and they cleaned up the site before leaving each day. The final result was excellent. There was a small glitch with one of the windows which was slightly damaged during removal of rotten wood. On our final walkthrough, we pointed this out, and Kory, the owner of the company took personal responsibility to see that the issue was corrected. He came out the following day and personally spent most of a day resolving the issue to our complete satisfaction. My wife and I appreciate the quality work and ethics of this company, and would highly recommend them to anyone needed a painting contractor.

Jarrod and crew did a great job. We were especially impressed with the way the stain looked on our front door. It is beautiful - exceeding our expectations. Protek power washed first, replaced or repaired wood where necessary, recaulked the entire house, and repainted the exterior. They did a nice job cleaning up afterwards as well. We were happy with the results.

Extremely bad customer service....... Update on previous review a few days ago. The owner Kory contacted me. He came by on Tuesday Aug 30th to touch up and collect payment. He did not apologize for his rep Jarrod Hamlins' extremely bad behavior and disrespect. All I got from him was a long text and speech that he should not have acted the way he did, and whole life long list of excuses for his behavior. We all have our trials and tribulations in our lives, non of which is an excuse for our bad behavior or bad treatment of our fellow person. Customer service is not a part of the services that they offer. I did not deserve the way that I was treated. I did not give them a change order, or changed my mind on the color. I asked for a bid. They gave it to me and I accepted. I paid in full the price on the bid along with the additional 2% for paying with a credit card. Kory told me that the other customer that Jarrod dealt with that week was pleased with the service. That client per Kory was male, maybe I was treated horrible because I am female.

Kory and his team was fantastic from start to finish. His crew spent the entire first day doing carpentry. We replaced a lot of rotted wood with Hardie and his team did great work even in some hard to reach places on the 2nd story. They cleaned up and could not tell they had been there working. They did not cut corners when painting and caulking. The taped entire house instead of using a spray board and they caulked entire house not just some caulking like other estimates I got did. The great of the project is the fact that the owner was on-site the entire time and really made sure everything was completed to a high standard level. We did two walk thru's to determine if any additional items needed to be touched up. He is very picky with his crew's work so he will have redo an area if needed. Kory's communication before and during the project was fantastic. Kory also helped us fix a rook leak we had (came on Friday night and was on the roof in the rain fixing the issue for us), not sure how many other companies would do this especially on a Friday night in the rain. I can't say enough good things about Kory and Protek Painting!

Exceptional is the way to talk about our experience. Jarrod, who was the lead was extremely professional right from the time when we start the conversation. Th estimation was clear, and quit competitive. He and his team arrived on time. ThI job done as brilliant and to our liking. We made a mistake in one of those colors, and wanted some rooms to be painted again. Although he was very tight on time, he bought one more paint so that he can finish his work on time. Very professional set of people, did the job to perfection and on time. We will love to use their services again in future.

I couldn't be happier! I interviewed several different painting firms and all were very nice. There were a variety of different quotes, suggestions for paints and pricing, but something stood out with in Jarrod. Their quote wasn't the lowest or the highest, but it was fair and really covered everything we needed - I knew there wouldn't be any subsequent "add-ons" later. I have to tell you...this was a tough job. Chris and the crew were amazing and persevered with the 2 stories, crazy weather and challenging angles to deal with on our house. These guys not only did a stellar job, but were punctual, professional and super nice. The house looks amazing and our neighbors are all asking for the name of the contractor. I will gladly share their information...although I love having the best looking house on the street right now (before Protek paints theirs!).

They were awesome. I had a time crunch due to my travel schedule. They actually painted my house and my neighbors at the same time. Worked with me on color change and they maintained great professionalism throughout the project and walk through. Even replaced some of the woodwork after a miscommunication with their manager and crew to make sure everything was done correctly. I have worked for builders for over 10 years so my expectations of trades was prepared for anything. They exceeded expectations and took really good care of me and understood my extreme picky need since I did work for builders. I would definitely recommend them again and have already given their name to friends and clients since I am in the mortgage and real estate business.

I am a very type-A individual who expects attention to detail and quality work. Therefore, it is unfortunately a rare day when I find a company whose owner has a similar work ethic to my own, does an amazing job the first time, and is honest and ethical. Kory, the owner, is that type of individual. I had several questions through the process and he took his time to answer every one of them, walked me through every step of the process, and never made me feel rushed or as if I was a bother to him. His painting crew did an amazing job with quality workmanship and a true desire to meet my very high expectations. Every detail of the job was completed in a timely and high quality manner. Jarrod and his team did a spectacular job. Other painting companies suggested wood trimmers for the repair which would have involved an entire tear out of the baseboards and adjacent decorative wood. Our baseboards swelled after water was soaked into the boards. Jarrod's suggestion was appreciated and it solved the problem. The baseboards were sanded and caulked and the paint matching to the older oil based paint is superb. The corner cracks were caulked. I will definitely use them again.
The crew was ON TIME and very efficient. They moved furniture as needed and replaced it. I got exactly what I paid for and would recommend the company for the honest and up front attitude and integrity displayed.

Painters showed up on time every day and worked all day. They did a wonderful job and the manager checked all the detail work every day. They made sure we were happy with all the work. The carpentry work was well done. My front door looks new with the varnish job-- that is an extra I would not have thought of doing. They also did a good clean up job. I highly recommend this company and will call them with any painting jobs in the future without hesitation. My house looks beautiful!

They repaired a water damage section of ceiling and wall. Sanded and painted the living room paneling. Painted ceiling, walls and trim in all rooms. The rooms were empty and the carpets removed. They assisted with paint selection. The crew was very professional and efficient. My family and friends are very pleased with the result.

Jarrod was punctual, detailed and professional. He gave the estimate with a possible room inclusion and kept the total in my budget. The painters were quick, thorough and focused - they did a great job cleaning after. Jarrod stopped by the house a day later to inspect the work but everything's went great, there was no need for adjustment. We will use again.

Went well. Fast as could be expected. But it is now a couple months later and after the dust has settled have noticed some details left unpainted and one ceiling in one of our offices not painted as we instructed.
Jarrod is a nice fellow and so I Chris his painter, but to get them to come back out and complete something after the job is done is and exhausting waste of time back and forth with Jarrod to the point of being rediculous.
Do I recommend Jarrod and his company again? Probrably not. I don't stand by or recomment companies who don't follow through on their work.
