Greg installed our fence in 2003. We have used it at all times during the last 21 years and it has not only kept kids and animals out of our pool (except when we wanted our kids and others in the pool), but it has also kept out grass clippings from lawnmowers and some leaves. Recently 85-90 mph winds damaged a small part of our fence (and caused four significant branches from our large oak tree to fall). Greg repaired that part of our fence at no charge even though the damage was due to an Act of Nature instead of a defect. Highly recommend!

We needed a short fence around our pool to protect the grandchildren.  We had done an extensive internet search and had two other companies visit and offer bids.  Just before signing with one of these other companies, we came across a video that showed some problems that a homeowner had experienced with some brands or types of fencing.  The video was VERY convincing and appeared genuine.  (However, we still do not know whether the video was planted by competitors.)  Protect-A-Child fence company was mentioned positively. We called the 800 number and were directed to the local (DFW) office. The owner/ installer came to our house, showed us the product, took measurements, discussed options and prepared an estimate.  After some additional internet searches for reviews, we agreed to go ahead despite the higher price (20%). The fence was installed on the date promised over the course of 3 - 4 hours. There were no surprises. The owner / installer checked with us frequently when decisions had to be made. The price was as agreed.  Clean-up was done and the fence looks very good.

Perfect. I couldn't have found a better contractor or a better product. They started on time and finished in just a few hours.
It would be great if this company could be listed under pool fencing. I took me a few weeks to find them the old fashioned way. I am thrilled I found them and would recommend them to everyone. Way to go guys at Protect-A-Pool!

All contact with Greg and the installation went extremely well. Greg showed us all the options and gave us his recommendation for our space. The job was done quickly and I feel much safer with my two young children in the yard.

Greg is very nice and knowledgeable. He did the estimate and he was thorough in explaining the different types of fence. We scheduled the install for a month later, and he called to confirm the date and showed up on time. He was done in 2 hours. The cost includes the fence, the gate, and the installation. He did a nice job and it looks great. It was just installed yesterday so we don't have any feedback about how it will work long term, but we definitely feel better with it in place as our baby begins to walk. We would recommend Greg to other Angie's List users.

Greg was very thorough in his explanation and demonstration of the product. We were very impressed with the quality of the fencing product and the improvements made since we last installed a similar child safety fence in 2005. Greg was very accommodating of our schedule. He arrived promptly on time, installed the fence quickly and instructed us in how to take it down and put it back up. We will feel much safer having our grandkids over with the fence as a barricade to the pool. And we especially like the fact that you can remove it for adult get-togethers on the patio and around the pool.

Greg and his employee installed the fence very quickly. We discussed the design of it, and Greg got our final approval before any holes were drilled. He was able to install the fence within a week of coming to our home and educating us about Protect-A-Child pool fences. We chose this company because of the features of their particular fence and because it has an established A+ rating with the BBB. I also called two references that Greg provided, and they were happy with their fences and the service. Greg offers aluminum or fiberglass poles. We especially liked the latches that connect the pool fence sections together, as they are harder for a child to figure out than others that are out there. We also liked that the poles lock into their deck sleeves and do not require tools to unlock. Other companies either do not have this feature or require tools to remove the poles. I feel that the fence is user-friendly for adults but cannot be compromised by a child (of course always supervise and do not let children drag patio furniture close to a fence)! I am a slightly paranoid first-time mom and did my research and compared a lot of fences! The price was also good, and came in cheaper than another quote that I got for a fence that I feel was not as good. I highly recommend Greg and Protect-A-Child!
