The company does a good job and the staff is always very courteous. The majority of the time scheduling is easy and the staff is historically prompt. Their pricing could be a little more reasonable on some services. Jim the president is committed to outstanding customer service and that philosophy is shared by his staff. Premier Plumbers is currently our choice for plumbing.

second time we used them in 6 months. Replaced two hot water heaters 6 months ago. it was such a great experience we asked them to install two new toilets. we trust them enough after the hot water heaters, we did not ask for a quote. we just wanted them to come out and do the work. They are fair and do excellent work that they proudly stand behind. they even do a great job of cleaning up that you would not have know they were in your home.

Plumber showed up on time and assessed the situation (cracked hot water heater). Installed 2 50-gallon hot water heaters and installed 2 new ball valves to allow me to shut off water to each heater independently. Initial plumber requested the assistance of another PP plumber in order to lift both heaters into the attic on the 2nd floor of my home. Work was performed quickly and professionally. Very happy with the work and service.

It went very well. They explained to us what they were doing and why they had to do it. They recommended some improvements that we decided to go with. The quality of their work was very good. We did get a few quotes. They weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either.

They were very prompt. They were one of the few plumbers to show up when we really needed the help. They did a pretty good job, but they did not finish the job. They didn't do a good job of completely finishing the work. We had to have them come back and fix it and eve after they came back it wasn't fully fixed.

Awful from start to finish. Jeremy came out on 3/20/10 to give me an estimate. Showed me his license when I requested it. You should always ask to see the plumber's license. I told him that I had checked with my city and permits were required for installation of a new hot water heater. He told me they ALWAYS do that and charged me $80 for the permit. No problem. I would not have hired them if they didn't pull a permit. It's for my protection. Installation Day - Nightmare #1 Jeremy shows up on time and very nice. Saturday. I asked about the permit. He said that he didn't have it. They would mail it to me????? I asked about an inspection and he said that wasn't necessary. Anyway, he proceeded to install the hot water heater. A lot of time passes. Finally he calls me out to look at it. The pilot light won't light. He tried calling their 24 hour emergency number, but can't reach anyone. He says he has another hot water heater on the truck that is not quite as good as the one I ordered, but he can install that one temporarily. He broke my old one trying to get it out. He puts the new cheapo model in. Says he will put in the one I ordered later. He says he hopes the company will let him have the one he installed just now. The person who was to get the one he just installed at my house is out of luck for that day. He tells me that the cost price of the one I bought compared to the one they installed is $300 more to the company. He leaves. I noticed that he left the water turn-off key in the front yard where he had turned off the water earlier. I tried to call him and the 24 hour emergency number, and no one answered. I tried many times. Later I found out that the lady who answers that phone had a "pet emergency." So I guess that lasted the entire weekend. Nightmare #2 I head out to the garage to get in my car to go to work on Monday. Two days later. I smell gas a LOT. I then call Premier. I only had to wait a couple of hours. It was the same guy who installed the unit. Jeremy. He frankly acted like I was an hysteric. He squirted some pink water from a bottle and nothing happened. He said there was no leak. I told him that I thought this happened because I had just taken my shower and the hot water heater had to turn on for more hot water. He told me that this was a constant working unit and that made no sense. He then told me that the office wanted him to offer me $100 off to accept the cheapo unit. I had to use my time off each time there is a problem so I took the $100 off. Nightmare #3 Each day I smell gas. I am very scared. I also keep waiting for the Permit that I am told would be mailed to me. I finally call my city Code Compliance and find out a permit was NEVER pulled by this company. When I mention the company they laugh. Told me they aren't surprised. I call to complain and get the office manager. I tell her about the Permit and then I tell her about the gas smell. By this time I am in tears. She arranges to send out TWO plumbers to check out my gas problem and bring me a copy of the permit that day and show up after I get home from work so I won't have to take yet more time off.. Her excuse is that they had "forgotten." Forgot to order the permit. Yeah, uh-huh. After I stressed the importance of it at least 3 times. I don't think so. As soon as the guys show up I direct them to the garage around the back. I tell them I will meet them there. I then go inside and turn on the hot water in two bathtubs. I KNOW there is a gas leak and the other "plumber" treated me like I was the hysterical "little lady." At first, nothing. Then, you could hear the whoosh as the pilot light lights up. They spray that pink water stuff again. Immediately there is a big bubble that shows up. All it took to fix was to tighten up a valve. If it had been left like that though, who knows. They also noticed that some insulation had not been installed in some upper pipes and they did that. I take time off and have the City inspector come out to inspect the installation a week or so later. Within 10 seconds he saw that it was not to code and flunked it. There was no drain pipe. I remembered that Jeremy first pointed out that it was needed. He even mentioned how it would jut out if he ran it one way, but he could drill a hole and run it through a little plaster board enclosure for the hot water heater and that would be the best way. AT the time of the disastrous installation that Saturday, I wondered why he never did that when he installed the hot water heater. At least he did put in a little bitty drain pan. But, after the city inspector flunked it, Jeremy had to come back. He wasn't happy. With me or the city inspector. He told me that the city inspector was wrong!!! He said he had had his kind of installation passed many times. Uh-huh! He installed a correction. My, it is so ugly. So cheap. And he knew it. He was also mad that I reported his mistakes to the company. Finally, when I could afford to take another day off to be home for the inspector, it got passed. However, even the inspector said that this was very shoddy work to comply with the Code. I was just glad I never have to see Jeremy again. I wouldn't trust him to fix a leaky toilet. In fact, he can't do that either. If you get Jeremy, say thanks,... no thanks. If you select Premier Plumbing, educate yourself on what is required. Call them on it. My "Energy Star" hot water heater has NO Energy Star rating. Nothing displayed when it was installed. Wonder why that is. They use Bradford and White which is supposed to be good. However, why is there no label on this about energy efficiency? It supposedly has a recirculating pump that is also a good thing. Yet, again, no proof. The receipts are very unprofessional. No model numbers anywhere. Yeah, that way they don't have to honor a warranty is my guess. No one likes giving a negative review. It has been 6 months since this happened, yet I really couldn't stay quiet. I feel that people who are not given good service need to report this more often here. There are too many positive reports and yet when you check with BBB or actually use the company, you find out there are big problems. Do NOT USE this company if you want your money. They also sold me a $99 Service Partner Membership that supposedly saves you on parts and other things. However, what good is it if you find out this company is not good and you won't use them ever, every again?
Response from Premier Plumbers of Texas
"We agree this service call turned into a series of unfortunate examples of bad communication within our company. Both of the main employees involved no longer work for our company for obvious reasons. We want to make sure it is understood that we have done everything to make this right since the install date. We will stand behind our service and will warranty this heater as long as needed. I personally was the one on the phone with this customer for over 45 minutes when she called in with her concerns and we apoligized and did what was requested and required to make sure everything was done to her satisfaction at the time. Obviously 6 months later this is still a concern and if she would give us the chance to do anything else nessacary to make her feel better, we would attempt to make that happen. As our other reports show, our company strives and maintains our policy of customer satisfaction and this one example is the exception to that and again, we have and will do whatever it takes to make our customers completely satisfied with our products and service. We have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau with no negative reports. We continue to serve satisfied customers everyday and in some instances it appears that no matter how much we do, it will not make up for the mistakes by former employees. Again our company is here to make sure we take care of our customers needs and provide quality plumbing work for the safety of our community and our customers homes. Please feel free to call our office with any additional concerns, questions or comments. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer feedback."

This was an excellent experience from start to finish --- starting with the first phone call to get an estimate. The office phone is answered by an actual human being that can help. Other competitors that I called either gave me voicemail, were a giant call center, or were obviously some guy on a cell phone out on a job. The plumber that provided the estimate was the same individual that subsequently actually did the installation. Their materials are top quality, their employees present a very professional appearance, did outstanding work, and respected my property, booties over shoes when coming indoors, etc. My plumber (Scooter, assisted by Brandon) was very knowledgeable on all facets of this job, answered all my questions and did a great installation. The price was not the lowest quote I received , but on balance I think it is the best value considering the quality of the water heater, the skillfull installation, and the lack of hassle in scheduling and pricing. (and at the time this vendor had a good coupon on Angie's List)

I spent about $120. They arrived within a few minutes of the time they said they would come. They were able to complete the work quickly and cleaned up afterwards. I would recommend them. I will use them in the future.

They came out right away. I think we probably could’ve gotten the work done cheaper. They were very professional. The plumber who came out was very nicely dressed. They were pricier than other plumbers in the area, but were worth it.

I got different estimates from plumbers on Angie's List. After interviewing James and getting his quote, Premier Plumbing was the clear winner and my choice. We have lived here in the metroplex for 22 years and have never used a plumber that I wanted to use again---until now!!!!!! I found him girls, James, owner of Premier Plumbing!!!!!!!!!!! James, Jeremy, Scott and Brandon thank you!!!!

My old water heater broke down on a Monday morning. I called Premier Plumbers and they had someone out at my convenience that afternoon. Mitchell was my plumber and he was prompt, professional, and courteous. He spent about 3 hours in total. It was the least painful plumbing experience I've ever had (thanks to Ashley also). My new water heater is super great! I'm Premier Plumbers again today for another issue...

The plumber was very careful to remove as little of the garage wall as necessary and consulted us every step of the way. The complete job took about two hours. The plumber was very pleasant and obviously experienced. This job was performed on a Saturday morning. When you have emergencies on a weekend it can be problematic to find help, but this company responded quickly and efficiently. We have used them twice since this job and will continue to rely on them for our plumbing needs.
