One of the faucets for the washing machine connection was leaking so I had them replace both. Work was done when promised and satisfactorily - no more leaks!

This was a Saturday and they responded - no extra charge for Saturday work -- very professional, very friendly reinstalled the circulating pump and all is working well - we have used North Star before and they have always been responsive and done excellent work - we consider them our go to folks for plumbing issues.  They charge an evaluation fee and provide you with alternatives and costs up front. If you have the work done by them then the evaluation fee charge is reduced to a travel fee.

My experience with them has been good. I have used them for several years. It is a good service. They actually always came really promptly when I had a problem. The have fixed whatever was wrong. The people I have come in contact with are pleasant and competent.

The company is a captive plumbing service company working exclusively for Nations Home Warranty. I had called them approximately 6 times over the last year for a recurring plumbing back-up. Every time, the tech performed or attempted to perform the same snaking of the house's sewer line from the clean-out access outside the house. In fairness, another plumber I called did the same thing. On the last occurrence in May, 2013, the tech manager showed up and tried something no one else had -- he ran a steel "ram" down the other direction of the line, toward the sewer line rather than toward the house. He also strongly suggested that single-ply toilet paper be used going forward, which we have done. There have been no sewer line clogs in the last 2 months, based on his work that day and the use of single-ply paper. I only wish the earlier techs had tried the same maneuver because while I paid the very reasonable $60 deductible charge that day, after having them come out 5-6 times, my total cost (not to mention wasted time) was more like $360.

The experience with them has been good, dead on for the most part. I've had a couple instances with some unreasonable prices. We had a gas leak detected by the gas company. We had to get them out here to do a leak test and get a quote to repair it. It was something like $1300. We got a second opinion by another plumber who said we did have two leaks, but they weren't that big of a deal. They quoted us $400, so we went with them instead. I don't use North Star for gas repairs anymore, but for water repairs I use them all the time.

Great, as always. Even though Rick is located in McKinney, we call him because he responds faster to our calls than most plumbers closer to us (in Dallas). His prices are fair, and he regularly gives discounts to repeat customers.

Garbage disposal was making a terrible grinding noise so I called North Star to come inspect. They were able to get me an appointment the same day I called, and the office called to let me know when the service people were on their way. Upon inspection it was determined the existing disposal had died (as I had suspected) and they were able to replace on the spot, and even had two models for me to choose from. Everyone I dealt with was highly professional and provided great service.
