I had a very pleasant experience with Fellows Irrigation. My husband spoke with the office staff and explained our need for a technician and repairs to be made within the next 10 days, before we were scheduled to leave for an extended vacation. To our amazement and delight, we had a same-day appointment. The fee schedule was reviewed and even though Fellows charges $100 per hour, they pro-rate it, so if they work 45 minutes, you pay for 45 minutes. They also charge for parts, but I have found their fees to be very reasonable.
Our technician, Buddy and his assistant, arrived on time and were ready to work. I explained to Buddy that I had several issues to address, but that some were needed immediately and some could wait, and that to control costs I wanted him to re-evaluate and approve each stage of work with me. This was no problem. My first issue was two major leaks. They were evaluated and repaired within 45 minutes. A third leak was also discovered and I authorized repair of it as well. Another priority was a new timer. Buddy had a new and quot;Rain Birdand quot; timer on his truck and I agreed to the price ($359 installed) and he proceeded. Not only did I receive a superior product, Buddy also trained me on how to program it and gave me insructions of when and how many times to water per week based on when the temperature is above or below 70 degrees in the AM. I was so impressed and felt confident I could run my new system immediately. To date, this is the best timer I've ever used; it is a quality-made product, very user-friendly, and accurate. My previously installed rain delay even works with it!
Buddy and his very efficient assistant were here approximately 3 and 1/2 hours and charged me $299 for work performed and, as mentioned above, $359 for the timer installation. When they left, I was able to water my yard for the first time in a long while.
I highly recommend this company and have already scheduled some additional time in May to complete my other repairs and to tune up all sprinkler heads. It is such a nice feeling when you find and work with a company who truly cares about YOU and your satisfaction. Fellows has pride in their work and it shows.

After Aquamax overcharged me (almost 4 hours of time with little accomplished), they stalled coming back to finish (too hard for them?) In a time crunch (part of the bill had to go to the road construction company, and there was a window), I called Fellows Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. They called back Tuesday morning to set an appt. Explaining my time constraints, they scheduled me for 11am that day. About 11:15 I got a call they were running about 30 minutes late. They arrived about 12:00. Worked on the damage by the road, finding and fixing 2 breaks and locating and replacing a missing head. They found the new road ran over the old pipes for one section, and needed to trench and replace about 30 feet. Told me they would be back the next day at 4 with a trencher. They rolled up to my house at 4:03! Trenched, installed new pipe and a new head, and repaired yet another leak in that station's piping (the property is about 125' along the road!). He gave me a bill that I could submit, and said they would try to fit me in the next day for my other issues (no promises). I got a call the next day at 1pm from the main office telling me they would not be able to add me, but scheduled me for 11am the next day (Friday). The team rolled up at 11:10. They located and fixed solenoids for 2 other stations that were inoperative, added access boxes where none had been, cleaned up holes and valve boxes left by Aquamax, and helped me locate 2 buried tree bubblers. They left - with everything up and running and cleaned up - at about 12:30.
While I spent $600 (parts and labor) for about 3.5 hours of work, I got a LOT of things fixed. It only cost me $460 (parts and 3.75 hours labor)with Aquamax, but they accomplished very little. After seeing what was required, they never came back - even though I scheduled 2 appointments with them after their visit. It's just a fact of life that some have had great experiences with Aquamax, and some probably have had issues with Fellows. For me, my next sprinkler repair will go to Fellows Irrigation.

From the first phone call to the final visit, they were highly professional and pleasant. Their price was completely in line with what others quoted, and the system was much higher design quality. I highly recommend them and appreciate the system they thoughtfully designed and installed.
