They have a great facility. All of the dogs that come in, get time out outside in a big area during the day. The big dogs are in the big dog area, and the small dogs are in a smaller area. They are not in cages all day.

When checking out the reviews on Bark....PLEASE NOTE THE DATES OF THE REVIEWS! I have taken my dog to Bark for 3 years.  It was wonderful UNTIL it was sold and there were new owners. It has been a continuous downhill slide in my opinion. None of the same people work there.  There seems to be a fair amount of turnover in who does work there.  It is no longer clean.  I have begun noticing there are a number of dogs left in the holding room to the right with NO SUPERVISION!  This is dangerous!  You never know when dogs may get on each others nerves and they know when the alpha dog (caretaker) is gone.  My last experience with them was when we were boarding our dogs there and I got a call that one of them had been injured in a dog fight and needed to see a vet.  I replied I am out of town, hence they are boarding, do you not have a plan in place where if a dog becomes sick or injured that you can take them to their vet or any vet? (The original Bark did)  They said NO!  They said they did not have liability insurance in place for transporting a dog! I asked to speak with a manager and never got a call from them and the person on the phone had no idea what to do. Lucky for us a friend in town helped out.  I am not taking my dogs there EVER again, even to daycare, because I love them and I care about their safety. Unsupervised dogs is a dangerous situation....even for a few seconds....let alone hours.  I also noticed my dogs who in the past have LOVED going to Bark have become a bit timid when I'm handing them over. I would never recommend them at the present time and would give them 0 stars if I could.

I have been taking my dogs to be boarded at Bark! since they first opened, however, over the past few years I have grown disappointed with the lack of customer service. I think this may be due to the fact that ownership changed in the past few years. What started to send up red flags was something as simple as no one answering the phone when I called. Often times I was just calling to try to book a stay for my dogs - about 80% of the time they never picked up the phone when I called. Then when we would go in to drop off or pick up our dogs about half of the time there was no one at the front desk.

These two things just started to make me question things. For example, when I picked up my dogs I would ask and quot;how did they do?and quot; honestly wanting feedback because both my dogs are very different personalities. And I got and quot;they did fineand quot; just about every time. It made me questions whether or not they even knew who my dogs were or even cared about them. Then my husband pointed out that the little dog indoor playroom you can see into from the lobby never has anyone in there watching or even playing with the pups. Are the understaffed??

Even given this small bit of visibility, I realized there is no other visibility into the play yards. Not even a TV screen showing live video into these play yards. This lack of visibility for the customer is troublesome to me. What is really going on?

All these question started to pop into my head and I started to trust my instinct that where there is smoke there is fire. I have had the opportunity to speak with a former employee and without revealing too many details a lot of my feelings have been confirmed. The nail in the coffin was the last time I called to try to get my dogs boarded there - they again did not pick up the phone. I so happened to be driving by another local kennel so they got my business instead (and I was a lot more impressed with their staff -- three in the lobby -- and facilities -- web cams!).

The following day, Bark!'s facebook page mentioned cancelations and to call to book a stay. It was ironic to me. It is sad to see a local business go down hill.

Another disclaimer: They do not have an on-site groomer, but will just bathe your dogs.

The morning we were heading out of town we realized our dog couldn't go where he normally does, so we called Bark! to see if they had an opening for him for one night. They did and so we brought him by an hour later. The lady at the front desk was great with our dog and took lots of notes around his needs/food even though we wrote it all down on the forms they provided - she just wanted a complete understanding of him. She took us on a tour of the facility which is very nice. She showed us where he would sleep and play and explained that he would be playing with the other dogs until the evening when they would put him in his sleeping space. When we went outside to see that space, our dog was already running around having a great time with the other dogs. The whole facility was very clean and I know our dog was well taken care of. We picked him up the next day (they are open from 12-4 on Sunday afternoon - this is rare for boarding facilities!) and he looked happy and healthy. He had a great time and they were easy to work with. I asked about getting him groomed and she explained that they only do baths and nail clippings (not full grooming), and only for their current customers (i.e. your dog has to be at playcare or boarding for him to get a bath - you can't just schedule him for a bath alone). I said I'd like him to come in for day-care and a bath later this week and she said that was fine - I didn't need to make a reservation or schedule a time as he is already one of their clients. So, I'm bringing him by on Friday to wear him out at playcare and have a bath. They were a little expensive, but not too high - we paid $36 for him to be boarded overnight and will spend $25 for his bath plus $22 for playcare.
Obviously we think they are great as we are already bringing him in again!

Our Dogs LOVE Bark! They are our furry children and we would not leave them just anywhere. We looked at at least 10 different boarding facilities in our area - in person and online. We went to Bark! Twice before leaving them there for a week long trip. They have been there for playcare as well. Avery and Niqqie move into Bark! with their toys and crates and bed (I'm sure everyone think we are crazy) and by the time they get home they sleep for 2 days from having so much fun!
We love Bark! you can trust them. They love dogs and they provide a great, clean facility so that you do not have to worry about your furry family members.

This is by far the best dog boarding facility in the Metroplex!!! We have taken our dogs to a few other places and non have welcomed our two labs in like Bark! They always remember our dog's names and our names, and when we mention "Bark" both of our dogs go crazy! This tells us that they love being there. From the time we walk in the door they are pulling us to let them go to the back to play with the other dogs!! Also they have the cleanest place of any that we have been to, you would think they just opened! The last thing is that they don't charge you to let your dogs go out and play with the other dogs during the day when you are boarding them!!GREAT GREAT PLACE!!! WE WONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

Experience was great. This was the second time we used the facility. One of our dogs is a little timid and skittish with new experiences. When we arrived at Bark Hotel she just jumped out of the car and ran to the door. She was happy to see the personnel at Bark Hotel and was eager to be there. She was not afraid as she had been the first time. The dogs really like coming here. I like how clean the facility is and the care and love they give the dogs. I recommend them highly.

Overall the experience went great. One dog is 10 years old, the other 4 years. The facilities are great, clean and roomy. The staff is wonderful; gave lots of attention to the dogs. Very pleased with experience and would definitely use them again.
