We hired Hector to paint some exterior walls to prepare our home for selling. They did the work quickly and very well, including a few extras we did not anticipate. We liked their work so much we hired them again a few weeks later for another exterior project, which they finished despite the frequent rains in June 2025. We would not hesitate to hire them again. True Colors does great work efficiently at a good price.

Hector and his crew at True Colors Painting were very fast, had great attention to detail, gave me a very competitive quote, and most importantly, the final result turned out GREAT. They did what they promised, on time and in a professional manner. I had cheaper bids, but TC was more knowledgeable and experienced. There's nothing more expensive than a cheap tire...or a cheap paint job.

Highly overpriced. Charged 3k for approximately 675 square feet

The owner himself made the first contact. He came to the house and pointed out things that needed repair during the painting process, and really took his time to assess our needs. He managed to get us in on our tight schedule, and helped to pick out better colors than what we originally chose. SO glad he did that! His crew was respectful of our things. We didn't have to lift a finger to help them. They finished in the time frame they promised. In the following week, I found a small handful of nits (we had the entire interior of the house painted, kitchen & bath cabinets included) and the owner was totally responsive. He sent his crew foreman back within a couple of days to fix whatever I wanted. To me, no job this size is perfect, but the willingness to come back is what truly makes this contractor's professionalism stand out. This was my first Angi contractor. He cost more than the others who quoted the job, but it was worth it. I highly recommend True Colors Painting.

Hector provided an on the spot quote which was VERY reasonable for the project. I had steel beams that were rusting not only on the surface but started to penetrate and flake. I thought it might be beyond repair. The expertise during prep, primer and the detailed painting were excellent! Only high quality industrial products were used. I am proud of the finished product and would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.

Hector was great did everything said he would was on time the only thing I have to complain about was one of the workers was carless .

Hector and his crew were fast, They were responsive to our requests. When we noticed a few issues Hector sent the crew immediately to address those and any other issues. We wanted to paint our cabinets as they were dated and the finish was pretty rough. We used a dark blue called Shipwreck on the base. Hector searched high and low to find an oil based version.. all cabinets were painted with oil based paint for durability Hectorâ s suggestion. I would certainly recommend Tru Colors if you need a professional painter.

One word EXCELLENT! I’m a person that pays attention to the details. My husband and I just bought a 15 yr old condo on SPI. Sight unseen and full online purchase. We came to see it after closing and it really only needed a paint job to make it look brand new again. I was up late and found True colors on Angie’s. I hit the jackpot. Not only did Mr. Ramirez get in touch w me very quickly (as we only had two days on the island) he also came over the very next morning on a Sunday and did a walk through w me and gave me a quote. Hired! Ceiling to baseboards he and his team painted the entire 1200 sq ft condo in less than a week. Not only did they paint but the attention to detail was perfect. Sanded down scuffs and nicks on baseboards and door edges, edging on ceiling and doors was perfect, holes in wall on doors disappeared, and they replaced all my doorknobs to add updated look to the condo as well. This team deserves and very much earned this review. As I don’t usually take time to write one. I WANTED to for them. AWESOME work and I will definitely use there services again .

5 stars only because there is no option for 10. Excellent work from start to finish. I had my cabinets, doors and trim as well as the exterior of my home painted. They arrived on time everyday and Hector was on site multiple times a day. His crew went above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting quality work with exceptional service.

They painted our entire condo including the cabinets. They did exactly what they said they would do and the results were excellent. Our relationship was very good. They understood what I wanted, they completed the project on time, and they cleaned up. They were very professional. I highly recommend this company! Also, their price was below the other quote I had received.

I hired these guys to prep my house to be sold. Painted whole house baseboards, ceilings walls and refinished all my cabinets (bathrooms, kitchen). They did an awesome job. Company owner was on site everyday in morning to review project status and keep me infomed of issues as uncovered. Spoke english to me for all issues as i don not speak Spanish well. They finished on time and met my budget. MY house was not 100% empty at the time but they worked around the movement as we empted a 4 bedroom home. We moved out and painted house in 7 days. Can not thank them enough for such a great job.

I am new to the McAllen area and I hired True Colors based on previous reviews. I had just purchased a home which needed an entire interior re-painting; walls, ceiling, baseboards, etc. I was told it would take 4 days. The guys finished in three days, did excellent work, and did extra work that I didn't expect such as painting all the doors and inside all closets. They even patched holes in the walls prior to painting and repaired broken baseboards. I was so amazed that the house looked like a brand new house. I can't say enough good things about Hector and his assistants. I will definitely hire them again in the future and recommend to my friends. Even my realtor was so impressed with the work. Thank you Hector for making my old/new home look like a brand new home!

True Colors is an excellent painting company. I found their work to be exceptionally fine quality. They covered and masked everything that had to be covered or masked. They delivered the job on time and on budget. They didnâ t mess around 4-5 people worked every day. I am extremely well pleased with the final result. I will hire them again for other projects.

Stop thinking about it, If you need your house painted, hire these guys you can't go wrong. I have a two story stucco home and hesitated to paint it. These guys did an outstanding job. They are as professional and clean as they get. They pay attention to the smallest details. They are also very reasonable too. I highly recommend them.
