When i called for a quote, the receptionist said someone would call me right back, she said no more than 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, i received a call. In hind sight, this should have been a warning. I explained the issue, and the man said that it would take less than an hour, so the charge should be around $96. I asked when they could come and do the repair, and he said he could have someone at my house in 45 minutes. It was 11:30 am. They showed up at 1:30pm. They said that they would have to go get a piece of pvc (why they didn't have it i don't understand) and returned 40 minutes later. The actual work time took around 25 minutes. They extended the pipe and added a brand new brass hose nozzle (retail $12.99).
When they finished, they said that the charge would be $200. Confused, I told them that I was quoted $96 for less than an hours work. They said that since they added a nozzle and had to go buy it, that it was more. He called in to verify the quote, and said that he would drop it down to $150.
I paid the $150, but did not appreciate the lack of punctuality plus the bait and switch tactics. I will not call them again.
