On a recent flight to/from McAllen - Branson, we contacted Joe from Bell's Taxi to get us to the airport and, then, home again when we returned to McAllen. Our flight out was at 6:30 AM and he was waiting at our door before 5:00 AM as per our request. When we arrived at the airport, he gave us instructions about our return on 8/3. So, as we boarded our return flight in Dallas, we called him, gave him our flight number and approximate landing time in McAllen. As soon as we retrieved our bags in McAllen, we called him again as he would be waiting in the taxi waiting area to meet us for pick-up. Presto! He was there as soon as we walked out of the terminal.
Joe is very personable and a great driver. We will use him every time we are flying out of town for now on.
It is certainly cheaper and safer than leaving our car at the airport.

Taxi/Shuttle Service
I've been using Bell Taxi exclusively for almost two years because owner Joe Alonzo is so dependable and punctual. When he cannot collect me, he sends one of his other drivers, but he always makes sure someone is there at the right time. However, Joe went above and beyond last week. I was supposed to get up at 4:30 a.m. to prepare for a flight from the McAllen airport to New York. I asked Joe to arrive at 5:45 a.m. to pick me up. I inadvertently set my alarm for Saturday morning instead of Sunday. At 5:55 a.m. I received a call from Joe asking if I still wanted to go to the airport as he was in front of my house. Fortunately I had packed and done most of my preparation the night before, so it only took me 10 minutes to be sitting in the taxi and on my way. I did not miss my flight all because Joe is considerate and has my contact information as well. He could have simply driven away, but he did not.
After riding with Joe for the past 2 years, I've come to know his family and we enjoy talking about lots of things to and from the airport. But I also know from some of his phone conversations in the cab that I'm not Joe's only loyal customer. Last Sunday I found out just why that is so.
