Performance Roofing

Angie's list sent them my info. They tried to call me, but I was on the other line and couldn't answer. They left me a voice mail, and then sent a text message. About 10 minutes after call/text, they sent another text asking when a good time to contact me was for a inspection. Seemed very pushy. I called and scheduled a inspection. When the guys showed up for the inspection, he tried to tell me I had a sag in the roof, which is a twisted rafter. And that would have to be fixed, even though he never even went into the attic. Gave me false information about the existing felt on the roof. He then told me there were 2 types of tiles they use. Showed me the 2 brochures, and then verbally gave me a quote. Nothing in writing. Immediately after telling me price, wanted me to commit to them for new roof. I told him I was not committing. He was shocked when I said no. After explaining I was waiting on another quote, and had to research some stuff. He started chit chatting with me. Found out McKinney location has only been in business 5 months, and he only does this 2 days a week. He has a full time job in completely unrelated business. Which in today's world is understandable. But it really felt like he really didn't know what he was talking about, what he was selling, and was extremely pushy for me to commit on the spot without a quote in writing. He attempted to call me later that day, and again the next 2 days. After seeing reviews with problems on pricing changes for people who had quotes in writing; I decided to go with a family owned business that was cheaper, and took time to explain everything. They had even educated me on things some other companies try to tell you to get your business, which this person did.

Service request was submitted and got a recommendation for Performance Roofing, they called to schedule an appointment today 06/26/2020 at 12:30 PM for them to look at the roof and give an estimate,and its already 1:30 PM and I haven't hear from them yet, not a phone call nor text message to inform me if they are going to be late or if they are still coming at all.
