Premier Metal Justin Lee

Mr. Lee told us we would be in the house by December 2008, but obviously didn't make that date. Told us several different dates and didn't make those either. Convinced my wife and myself to save money by staining the concrete and then charged us what he had for the floor allowance. He went 2 months without doing any work after the house was dried in; claimed he was waiting on a cabinet maker. When he claimed he could not get in touch with the cabinet maker he decided he would build the cabinets himself. He did not provide what he claimed he would; the drawers used the cheapest slides when he promised linear slides. He used scrap plywood to make the drawers and when he put the oak faces on he glued them because the slides where not parallel nor perpendicular. He never completed the job; once he signed the paperwork he left the site having been paid in full, but left the cabinets and gutters incomplete. He had about 25,000 in cost over-runs, but never once mentioned that he was over cost until the last 2 weeks of the job. He presented us with a bill for $3,500 eluding to the fact that this was the final bill; this was already at the $21,000 over-run point. Then the day before closing he presented us with another $4,000 bill claiming everything he had done was over cost. Mr. Lee did not manage the contract well, expended funds without being clear that they were not included as part of his bid. He did not manage his sub-contractors in a timely manner. He did not appear to know how to multitask. If he thought it was time to do the floors and he couldn't do it then he left the job even though there was sufficient other tasks that still needed to be worked and could be worked.
