Walkers Artistic Granites

Not good. On the "bar area" of the countertop, the installers joined small pieces of countertop together so as to create unnecessary seaming. When asked why the installation was done this way, the installers indicated that they didn't have enough countertop material to install the 3' section in one solid piece. The resulting job looks unprofessional and "jury rigged." When I complained to Joe Walker, the owner of Walkers Artistic Granites about this, he said he thought I wouldn't have wanted to pay for an extra countertop materials. I told him that I would have liked to have been notified of this at the time he gave me the estimate. Because I was being charged over $50 a square foot for the purchase and installation of the lowest grade of Silestone, I assumed that I would be getting enough materials to have received a professional looking installation! Also, the installers made a complete mess of the exterior of my cabinets with dirt, scratching and adhesive, and I ended up having to repaint them. Finally, Walkers Artistic Granites was paid to remove the old cast iron sink along with the old tiled countertop. They do not reinstall the plumbing, faucet or garbage disposal as part of the installation, which I understood before going into the job. However, they inadvertently hauled off a part of the garbage disposal that was needed to reattach the existing garbage disposal to the new sink. When I talked to Joe Walker about getting this clamp back, he said he didn't know when he would be back in my neighborhood to drip off the clamp. I told him to leave it at the house as soon as he could. Today when I came back to the rent house, I saw that Mr.Walker or one of his crew had dumped the old sink in the front yard! The same sink I had already paid him to dispose of!! I now have to dispose of a 75 lb. old sink because naturally, having already been paid, Mr. Walker has not returned my call.
