The roofing was well done in a timely manner considering the weather. The only issue I would say I had was clean up could have been better. We had a fair number of nails and plastic nail covers to be picked up after the fact.

I bought a promotion advertised that included minor reseals of roof chimneys, air vents etc - EXACTLY what I was looking for. Firstly - despite logging in 3 different preferred dates for the call out - nobody bothered to call to confirm. Days went by and eventually i had to call these people directly. Was told that a sales rep would call me back the very same day. He called 3 days later. I explained my requirement, and he indicated he would come out, climb on the roof and have a look and arrange for repairs. He did come out the next day, but didn't bother climbing on the roof -his excuse was that they did not have the equipment and also, more importantly, since there were many hail damaged homes in other areas, he would deal with those homes first. So after 2-3 weeks of effort to get these guys to come out - it was all for nothing. Don't understand why companies offer promotions - if they cannot uphold their advertised commitments. I want a full refund.

they completed the job in 1 1/2 days. Hardly took breaks.  VERY thorough in picking up trash and nails! Terry was very nice and very complete but he has a personal time management problem i.e. getting places on time.  

I called Toucan and communicated my needs. Mark was at my property the next day and provided me with a sound estimate of the repair costs.  They immediately dispatched the repairman to take care of the issues.  Repairman also gave some good pointers on things to consider with the roof stacks going forward.  Was happy with service and level of responsiveness and will use them for other services in the future.

Excellent crew was able to complete my roof in a single day.  Wow.  Beautiful new roof.  Could have done a better job picking up the old discarded nails.

It went GREAT from the salesman to the roofing crew!   Toucan's salesman, Craig Curlee, was prompt, professional and knowledgeable.  He met with  the insurance company claims adjuster at our home when the damage was assessed and then helped us through the process of getting the roof replaced within the framework of insurance proceeds.  The roofing team was extremely efficient and punctual.  The materials were delivered timely and neatly stored on the side of our driveway and out of our way.  The old shingles were removed rapidly and disposed of punctually.  The new shingles were put on rapidly, the crew cleaned up the work area thoroughly and finished by using a large magnet to find and pick up any remaining roofing nails that might have been missed.  Oh, the crew chief and most of his crew spoke English.  What a professional operation!  We heartily recommend Toucan Roofing.

Toucan Roofing was a pleasure to work with. They were very professional and honest and worked great with my insurance company. I was very pleased with their work. They got the roof done in one day and cleaned up very well afterward. They were responsive when I had questions, and made sure I understood exactly what to expect and how much it would cost.

 

When they came out to meet the insurance adjuster, they mentioned to me that the vents that came up through the roof had major holes in the rubber.  They were concerned that if it should rain prior to their appointment to replace the roof, I would get water in my attic.  They took the time to get on my roof and tape off and protect each one of the pipes with duct tape so that no rain would be able to get in.  In my opinion, this was above and beyond what was expected. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing their roof repaired.

Salesman was eager and attentive in the sales process.  Responded to my many calls promptly. 
I was not pleased to find that the roofing crew did not speak English.  This created problems when we had specific concerns.  The salesman had assured me just the day before that YES there would always be someone English speaking on the job.  When I called the salesman mid-work about this, he did send someone back out although it took a good bit of time.  The work was completed very quickly without incidence.  I admit that I am particular and being married to a professional craftsman I know how a superior roofing job should look.    One specific request we had was that they install the roof with woven valleys.  I was assured that the crew could do this.  When the crew began to do otherwise, we frantically tried to communicate to them what we wanted and resorted to showing them a picture to illustrate.  Stressful!  In the end they did the woven valley and it could have been done more esthetically (straighter line)  but it is acceptable.  Their work was definitely only adequate but would satisfy most people.
I was uneasy and hesitant when the salesman insisted on full payment at the beginning of the job.  I would have been much more comfortable doing this when the job was completed 8 hours later.  That is accepted business practice and I am ashamed that I allowed myself to be put in such an uneasy position and even knowing better, complied with this request.
