THE HOME TEAM INSPECTION SERVICE

The inspector who provided our home inspection service was Jim. Overall, we are very disappointed in the quality of the home inspection. In spite of my husband pointing out and questioning the severity of missing caulk and grout in the bath and shower surrounds, Jim told us it was not a problem and we could just add grout to fix it. Being the home inspector, He should have recommended a deeper or more thorough inspection for the 3 bathrooms with these issues. We hired a handyman to fix the grout in the showers. He was the one who discovered that the tile was only held up by the grout and it had actually separated from the shower surround wall. As a result, we had to tear out the shower stalls and shower pans, rotten studs, rotten and mildewed sheetrock and insulation due to previous owner not having cement board installed in the showers. Additionally, replacing and installing all new tile in all bathrooms and glass door and surround on shower in master bath. Other things not addressed on his report: attic ladder not functional, mold and mildewed wood under kitchen sink from leaking pipes,corroded tub drains from previous owner dumping draino in the clogged drains, ceiling fans loose( screwed into sheetrock, not studs), backyard gate falling apart. All in all, a very shoddy job done on our inspection, which ended up costing us money we really had not budgeted for.

HOME TEAM INSPECTION DID A THOROUGH JOB OVERALL. THE JOB WAS TO OUR SATISFACTION.
