The Appliance RepairMen

Just so you know what you are getting... This is not necessarily the type of business you think it is. The only thing "The Appliance RepairMen" are a 3rd party booking service for contractors. They work off a commission. Now I will say the contractor that came did the job and probably well, however the charges were totally misrepresented. I was told that for them to come out and diagnose would be $75 which would be paid up front. Then it was claimed "the fee would be applied to the repair. THIS IS NOT TRUTHFUL I was slapped with a higher than anticipated labor fee that included a "diagnostic fee" This is not what was stated as fee being applied to the repair as most legitimate businesses do. They conceal adding on an additional fee. I called to complain and they refused to credit me for the misrepresentation. They expected me to cancel my CC charges or something which I was not going to do, I just simply expect them to do the right thing. When you take your paperwork where they quickly have you sign off on the charges, you can look at the back and clearly see the business is built around this scam of padding the total amount of the repair to consumers. A legitimate business would normally focus on things like warranty claims and such! And finally, this opens up the question are these contractors even insured, background checked, etc. End of story- FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS!
