Do NOT hire STEVE PONCIANO for any work! He is a liar and steals from you. He started our project in May and as of this date has not been to our house for a month. He left a mess in our home with an unfinished master closet and bathroom along with other projects. We, unfortunately, paid him alot of money and know we will not recoup it. He comes with his elderly father and uses him as an excuse to not show up. His partner, HILLARY VERVER is in on the scamming. Do not get ripped off as we did. They should be in jail but the lovely state of Texas doesn't help to prosecute them.

Beware of Steve Ponciano. He is a crook and con man. He will take your deposit and never return to do the work. He will give you excuse after excuse, and tell you he will be there in a few days...not show up. Then again he says he will be there soon, and does not come. Also do not believe his stories about a sick family member-- it's just another excuse. He's the one who is sick in the head.

Great at first, Steve and his helper painted some of our house, but asked for a larger deposit after their second day prior to even being 50% done with the work. Do not fall for the "Cash Only" discount-- you'll never see your money again. Texas State Painting avoids all calls from us, has canceled scheduled appointments 4 times now and are not reliable. They're really nice and seem trustworthy, but don't be fooled. If you hire them, I would recommend only paying them AFTER the entire job is complete. Don't listen to the "deposit" story about his customers cancelling on him-- its actually the other way around. Also, make sure everything is in writing and that yo save a copy of the estimate / receipt. You may need it later on.
