Mr. Smith didn't level the floor well at all, although he did come out the next night after it was drying to try it again, but the job was worse than the first time. Also, he left wet concrete all over the walls and baseboards, although that may be standard operating procedure. He probably does great work outside, but he had to level it by hand, and honestly I think we could have done just as good of a job as he did. (We were originally planning on it, but got cold feet at the last minute.)

We increased the job and added some more to the original job. We changed from a little patio to a huge patio. The job went very well. It took longer because we changed the whole format. They are a small company, but they did very well. They worked with us and we really liked them. We had a difficult case. We have an upper story that has poles that go down and they reinforced all of that. They took out our bricks and redid it with concrete. They stamped it and it looks like cobblestone. It is really pretty. They took out a whole bamboo area and did an incredible job. We had asked them to do a lot. We really do appreciate what they did even though we had to wait a couple of times as they were a small company with limitations. It took them a long time to do the job because there was an increase in the amount of job that we originally started with. We worked with them. We got two bids. What we found out was that this company knew more about what we really needed and about how to really support the structure that we needed. We felt like it was practical and that they knew what they were talking about. They also cost $15,000 less than the other company. We felt like it was safer engineering that was much more practical. It looks probably even better than what the other company would have done.

Excellent service. Plan to hire them again for other projects in the future. Gave free estimate and called after the job to see how repair was holding up.

Jim and Chance Smith, along with their crew, did a great job handling this substantial project. The price was very fair, and no major problems occurred during the accomplishment of the project. The Smiths proved to be honest, trustworthy and prompt. Jim or Chance always got back to me quickly if a question arose in between their visits to the site, or when the Building Inspector had an issue that needed addressing before giving the go-ahead to pour. Overall, the quality of the finished product was satisfactory. There were a few equipment problems during the day of the pour which slowed the process a bit and it ended up getting dark before the final finishing was accomplished. For this reason, I believe the finishing crew rushed the job a little bit towards the end, and this is evident in the quality of the surface finish in that area. Not a major problem--the slab will suffice very nicely--but it could stand to be a bit smoother there. Overall, I am very satisfied, would highly recommend Teton Construction, and would most definitely use them again for future projects.

We got an estimate from 2 other companies but we chose Teton Construction. I saw them on Angie?s List, and I called and asked for an estimate. The work cost me $1200, and I found the price to be quite reasonable. We have had a couple of downpours that have really tested it and it has come up fine. I would rate them highly and would not hesitate to call them back if I needed something else to be done.

The project specs changed as they were laying down forms when I learned city code required me to make some last minute changes. They responded quickly to the changes and kept right on track. The foundation required some extra works since the ground sloped down away from the house, requiring a short wall be built up. Jim's a great guy who shoots straight. I would recommend him highly.

I was looking for a concrete contractor on Angie's List. I contacted Jim a month prior to the start of the project and asked for a quote. He gave me a price per square foot. A few weeks later I contacted him to come out and give me an estimate. He provided a fair estimate as well as a tip I could do myself to help save money. I was so impressed that I called him an hour later and asked when he could start. He started immediately, rain delayed the finishing of the project by a day, however, Jim kept in contact with me letting me know when he could come back out. He and his crew were very professional, they even helped us unload our new grill from the trailer. I recommend Jim Smith 110%.

Called Jim to get an estimate on my request to pour a small patio pad in my backyard. I was tired of weeding and the dirt so I am going to container gardening and decorating for a "secret garden" style. Jim responded quickly but was out of town, working in New Orleans recovery efforts. He did come by 2 wks later as promised, for a review/estimate of the space I wanted done. He referred his son CHANCE SMITH to actually do the project, since Jim was headed back to work in New Orleans recovery project. Chance came by to review and started the work promptly thereafter. The work took two days to complete and the results are just what I asked for, including the cut outs for my two small trees that sprouted up last year. Chance was very professionsal and courteous and worked around my schedule. He also added/included my stepping stones and decorative gate I wanted to permanently install in the slab. Cleaned up nicely and I am very pleased with the results.
