I work for the seller and was at the seller's property to finsh items the seller contracted my company to do. I knew an inspection was ordred by the prospective buyers so was not surprised to see a vechicle marked At Ease Home Inspections plus an unmarked vechicle at the property when I arrived. I was totally surprised though by the inspectors response to me. I have access to the home via a garage door opener PLUS access to the code for the lockbox on the rear door. I opened the garage door with the opener and backed my vechicle into the garage as usual, knocked on the garage entry door and hollered Hello REO Repair to keep from startling / alarming anyone before entering. I always do this as a professional courtesy of the industry. After entering into the kitchen I noticed two gentlemen standing at the back door. I had my card in my hand and went to introduce myself to them with my right hand held forward for a handshake. The gentlemen with the credentials at his pocket and lapel took my card threw it on the floor and told me I had no business there to get out I don't care who you are. I told him I was there to finish my repairs and he said i don't care I have no proof who you are or if you have the right to be here. I stated the fact I opened the garage door with an opener isn't enough proof I'll close and reopen the door. He said I don't give a crap I may have left the door open that doesn't prove anything. I closed and repoened the garage door with the remote opener in my car. He said this still means nothing to me. When reentering the house he slammed the door and. I did say dumb stupid idiot and he came back out and said there's no need to use profanity which I had not. He told me to get the h*** out of here and started pushing me with his belly. He had no right to touch me at all. I had all the proof he needed I was to be there from my work order, card, and knowledge of the house. If he was that concerned he could have called the listing agent for verification which I did tell him and he said he didn't work for the listing agent and didn't care what he had to say. His little tirade cost me 4 hours of work, plus he left a mess in the house when he opened the attic access door, left a paint brush in the sink he removed from the toilet (to keep it wet) did not push the tape back over the outlets after testing (covered to paint). Very unprofessional in all aspects. He does not work for the seller and has no right to decide who and when anyone will be on the property.
Description of Work: Was totally unprofessional and exherted authortiy he did not have.
