The owner of WDRP is running a scam with a real estate management company fleecing renters out of their security deposits. This company creates the invoices the owner of the management company requests and WDRP creates them regardless if any work needs to be performed. I will be going to the authorities about this criminal activity.

I live on an acreage and a metal gate stands between the road and my driveway. A lower hinge snapped in two making this gate impossible to open or close. This gate is an older, heavier model than is used nowadays so I contacted Mr. Kerlin to see if it could be fixed.  The only other option was to replace the gate entirely, an even greater expense.
Mr. Kerlin came out, assessed the problem, and then used a hinge from another gate of the same type (one that was damaged and of no further use) to replace the broken part.  Afterwards, he went on to level the post, and add brackets and bolts to further secure both the post and gate. I've had problems over the years with this particular gate coming off the hinges, and Mr. Kerlin explained to me that this problem was caused by the gate hinges being improperly installed to begin with. Much to my relief he corrected that problem as well.
I have utilized Mr. Kerlin's services on a number of occasions over the years. In addition to the front gate, he has also done extensive work on my house and barn, and I continue to be amazed at his creativity in solving problems. I have never been disappointed in his work and always turn to him when repairs are needed.
I highly recommend him.

I had noticed that some boards had come loose from one side of my barn and believed they would need to be replaced. Mr. Kerlin came out, took a look, and told me that all that was needed was to nail them back into place using stronger, better quality nails.  He nailed the boards back into place and used more wood to reinforce them from behind. Afterwards, he examined the barn to see if there were more problems and discovered some wood that was rotted and a support beam that needed reinforcement. He attended to those two items using materials he already had with him so there was no time lost in getting the job done. After all repairs had been made, Mr. Kerlin proceeded to paint certain portions off the building where another coat was needed. Originally Mr. Kerlin came out on Saturday, February 8th, but decided to come back the next day to finish the painting so it would conform to his high standards.
I have contacted Mr. Kerlin on several occasions over the years and have always found him to be honest, trustworthy, and highly skilled. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing repair and/or remodeling work done.

I had excellent service with Dennis. He called me when he said he would and was on the job when he said he would be. He let me know the time he would be late because of a flat tire. Even though he had another job he needed to start as soon as he was finished with mine, he worked around the  illnesses of the tenants with no complaint.

Dennis did what he could to hold the cost down. He hand mixed the paint for the fascia using paint he had and it was almost a perfect match for a 40+ year old house. He had some spare singles so he was able to repair the small area that was broken without having to buy a whole package. I was very pleased with everything he did. I had no problem trusting him to do the work.

I would definitely hire him again and recommend him.

It went well.  I was worried because he repaired the leak during a pouring rain, but it seems to have held, and the leak is stopped.  No further problems.

Exterior wood repair was well done including repainting. Front door lock replacement was also well done.
Exterior door re-stain was done with spray can rather than by stripping old wood stain and refinishing. A cursory job at best.  Door will have to be refinished in 12 months or less.
Interior walls paint was well done but window sills were botched and less than satisfactory.  He used a flat instead of enamel and brush painting work was sloppy beyond words.   He splattered paint all over the floors as he did not use drop cloths.  It was obvious that he wanted to finish work quickly and quality was not a concern to him.
Beyond the work, I did not appreciate the racial jokes he insisted on telling but did not say anything to him for fear of further repercussions in his work.
I would not recommend him for ANY paint job, and would ask for specific details of the materials to be used and how he intends to do the work before contracting him.
Personally, I would not hire him again.

He did a great job. He was very prompt to give a bid. It took him a while (a month) to come do the work because prior project ran long. I would definitely use him again.

Played telephone tag a couple times before connecting, but this isn't unusual when both parties are busy.  He showed up on time and gave us a written estimate, suggested some changes to the project that accomplished our goals and saved us some money.  We accepted his bid and scheduled the work.  He called ahead of time to coordinate an adjustment to the schedule...we accepted.  Work was done on time and in a workmanlike manner.  I was well satisfied with all aspect of the job and plan to use him again as projects present themselves.
He's very easy to talk to and puts you at ease from the get go.  I like the man; he's just plain folks, if you know what I mean.

We were very satisfied with the work. He immediately called us back and came the next day to see the repairs needed and give an estimate. He was very reasonably priced and we asked him when he could start. He began the work the following week and finished in 2 days. He was very nice and professional. He did a great job on the work. I will definitely be calling him again if we need any work done,

He was great. We were very pleased. He also had a significantly lower price compared to all of the other estimates we received. He also just asked for the price of materials up front not the entire job and labor. We are having him do more work for us.

I chose WDRP (Dennis Kerlin) from Angie's List, and it went even better than expected.  It was easy to tell Dennis was very knowledgeable given how quickly and well he responded to the numerous items on my list as we walked through the house.
I had contacted Dennis on April 29 and said  I was needing work done prior to May 8.  He came out first thing the morning of May 2, we agreed on a price, and he started that afternoon.  It took him through most of the next afternoon to complete the work.  He worked largely unsupervised.  The house was vacant, and I gave him a code to use for the combo lock so he could come and go as needed.
When Dennis first came out to see what needed to be done, he offered a price option:  he could either charge one set fee for everything or a set fee for labor plus reimbursement for needed materials.  I chose the later option as I thought it more fair for both of us.  That was principally because it was going to be difficult to determine how much plywood to buy for the attic flooring as it would have to be cut into so many odd sizes.
I always appreciate it when workers come with all the tools they need to do a repair job (my experience has been that is not always the case).  When Dennis came out to begin work, he arrived not just with a usual pickup truck but also with a large trailer filled wiith tools and equipment.
Replacement of the serving shelf was the most skilled task.  The shelf that came with the house was only deep enough to hold drink glasses.  Dennis replaced it with a wooden shelf deep enough to hold dinner plates and serving trays.  He also cut a decorative trim around the sides of the shelf (his idea) making it look much better than the original which was purely rectangular in shape.  I was concerned that some small child might try to use the shelf for pull ups.  Dennis braced it well, and it seems strong enough to hold a good amount of weight.
When my wife and I inspected his work as he was finishing up, we found everything done exactly as requested.  Nothing was overlooked or needed to be touched up.  We also discovered Dennis has a great memory.  He immediately remembered my wife from a church she attended 30 years ago and could name many of the people acrtive in the church at that time who she knew.
Dennis says his wife has been after him for many years to retire.  I hope he continues to resist that as I will definitely call on him first for work on future projects.

I had just purchased my home and it needed a fair amount of repair and maintenance both inside and out. I was a bit overwhelmed to say the least and on a pretty tight budget. WDRP had gotten good reviews on Angie's List so I called. I liked Mr Kerlin from the moment he answered his phone. He was very personable with a "down home" sense of humor that put me at ease right away. I was certain I'd have to get the repairs done in small increments to stay within budget. When he arrived he helped me prioritize all the repairs I needed (as I said, I was overwhelmed) and wrote out an estimate that was broken down for me into how much he could do in specific time frames and what it would cost. Very helpful!! He's a very knowldegeable professional and was more than willing to explain things I didn't understand, answer any questions I had, and even teach me things along the way. I will most definately be calling on him again. He's "The Man!"

I have been working with Dennis for the past 5 years.  He did a major remodel of my back garage, gutting it down to the studs, installing new drywall, replacing windows and a door, and all interior painting.  He also installed a new roof.  Since that time I estimate that Dennis has come to my home a dozen or so times for minor repair and handyman work.  I have young children and they love it when "Mr. Dennis" comes to visit.  Anyone who has worked with Dennis knows that he is a good man, and colorful to boot.  His prices are always reasonable (he was the lowest bid of four bids I received for the garage remodel), and his workmanship is top notch.  As with all contractors, you have to be very specific in what you want him to do so that he will do the job exactly as you want it done.  He is always helpful -- one time when I had some painters at my house and Dennis was there for another job, Dennis helped me work with the painters to make sure that they were doing the job properly.

WDRP honored their estimate and only charged additional amounts for work added after they started work.  They completed the work required within the agreed upon time frame, and were responsive to questions and requested changes.

Dennis picked up the phone when I called him and scheduled to see our home 3 days later.  He saw the two projects and gave me a quote for his time (cost of materials were paid off receipts).  He completed the new vent covers project the next day and came back about a week later to complete the attic project.  Dennis is very personable - a day after the last project my 4 year old boy asked when 'Mr. Handyman' was going to come again because he missed him.  If he was running late, he would call or text me.  I thought the quality of his work was very good.  I have already recommended him to our neighbor.

Dennis arrive on time and immediately started working on door.  I have had 2 other handimen try to fix the door so it would stay closed without locking it but as soon as we got a south wind the door wouldn't stay closed.  My door now closes normally and locks the the way it should.  I will hire Dennis for any work I need in the future.
