SAAR was not the first repair company I called about my washing machine. To cut a long story short, the first company tried to rip me off by misdiagnosing the problem with my washer as a bad control board to the tune of $250. I decided to discontinue doing business with the first company because of their poor customer service. I still didn't know that I had a perfectly working washer. I contacted SAAR. I was pleased with them at the beginning, because they worked around my schedule. My appoint was on a Saturday. The technician was running late because his previous job ran longer than expected. I was just happy he fulfilled his commitment and showed up and didn't blow me off. because I was desperate to get my washer up and running again and he

Two days later the fridge was not cooling again. I called them and they returned to diagnose it and determined it that they had missed a component part ( fan) and that they will order it and return to install it and complete the repair job. It has been three weeks since the part was ordered and they have not returned to finish the job. We have called them several times and even went to their location and left a note to call us to no avail. I would not use this company ever again and will not recommend it to anyone in the South Austin, Kyle, and Buda area.

Excellent. They worked me into a same day schedule around 8 at night to help out. The repair man diagnosed the problem as too much dust around the insides/compressor. He cleaned it out and it is running like new. He was kind enough to show me what he was doing and give me advice on how often I should clean it and the brush I would need to get. Really appreciate their help and advice. And by the way, I had no idea that my darling shedding dogs are contributing to the problem (the area to clean is on the bottom of the unit so it sucks I pet hair too.)

They came out at Thanksgiving.  We had a bunch of people coming over and the refrigerator went out.  They were very timely and helped us out the best they could.  We got through a difficult situation and it was made a lot easier by what he had to say with it.  I want to say it was Charlie, but he really did a good job.

It was very good.  They've been extremely responsive.  We had a refrigerator that was only about 4 or 5 years old and they had to come out twice.  We got to know the repairman very well.  He also definitely got A's across the board.  He was very much service oriented & in a sense teaching us what we need to know about that situation.  He did not try to upsell at all.  We wound up getting a new appliance from somebody else, because it looked like that's what we were going to have to do.  They did their job it's just the manufacturer didn't do a great job on their end.  We were extremely happy with that guy and the outfit.  This time around we looked at it and if we had completed the repair it would have been $1,000.  This time we looked at it being that much again, & I think we paid the service fee of probably $100 or a little bit less and we decided not to do it and just get a new appliance. They worked with us on that very closely and made us feel like we were doing the right thing.

I called in and had a service technician at my house the next day. He diagnosed the problem as a bad thermostat but did not have one on his truck. He ordered it and came back the next day and replaced the old one. I was very pleased with the promptness of the service. I did have to wait at home for his arrival past the appointment time on the first day. This was understandable since the scheduled time was understood to be not before that time but from that time on. Normal due to previous appointments and traffic. On the second day he called me about an hour before arrival so that I could be home. I will definitely use them again.

They were excellent. They respond quickly and they are always on time. They always explain everything they do and give you options. Price was exactly what we figured it would cost before we even called them. They met our expectations. They were just really, really good. They were there right when they said they would be. I've had two different people out for two different jobs. Both of them had taken the time to explain what was wrong, how to fix it, what were the options to fix it and if it could be fixed or it would be waste of money. They gave me all the options. They were very, very professional.

Installer burned up the electric plug while installing. The installer told me I would need to call an electrician....so I did. The electrician replaced the plug. The appliance store brought a new dryer because the old one had a burn mark from the spark of the plug. Installed it. It worked fine. They refuse to pay for the electric bill which was $200. They also will not return my calls. My land lord hired the electrician who is asking me to pay the bill. When I call they are very rude. I had to call on an unknown phone before they would even pick up. The owner refuses to speak to me. The appliances work fine but the service is awful and the customer treatment is even worse. They ignore you.

The appointment was made within a week of calling and in keeping with my schedule. Stephanie was pleasant, professional and followed up with a reminder just before the scheduled day. Chance was the technician that looked at the washer, diagnosed the problem and ordered the necessary part. He was also the one that returned to install the part which was done within a few days so I wasn't out a washer for an extended period of time. I like the fact that this business is in south Austin where I live although they service the entire Austin area. I also like the fact that the appointments were made easily and promptly and that the same technician came to both appointments. The professionalism of everyone I dealt with was great and I will use the company again in the future and recommend them without hesitation.

We scheduled our initial appointment for Monday July 18 which is my day off. We were given a window of between 9-12 for a technician to be at our house. By 11:00 I called to see if there was an ETA. The lady who answered the phone said that the technicians were behind on a project but they would call me soon. Well by 1:00 I still hadn't heard anything from anyone so I called. The lady who answered the phone said she would look into it. No return call. By 4:00 my wife called and the lady said that they wouldn't be able to make it to our house that day. We decided foolishly to reschedule with these people for Thursday. They do show up, about 30 minutes after their given window, tell us the fee for the visit will be in the neighborhood of $80. That we have a blown pressure hose in our machine and they would have to order the part and that someone from the office would call us immediately to schedule the follow up. This was Thursday July 21. Friday, no call. My wife calls the office and leaves a message. No return call. I call again on Monday, no answer and again no return call. As of this morning my wife and I have already found another repair company to come fix our machine. Then South Austin Appliance Repair calls back this afternoon wondering when we are free for them to come fix our washer. This experience was totally unprofessional and I would never recommend this company unless some serious things change, starting with the lady on the phones who outright lied to me and my wife several times about scheduling and information.

We are still waiting to actually receive any follow-up service from this company. Trying to schedule with them has been a complete exercise in frustration. They keep putting us off and promising some future service.

I really like South Austin Appliance. I talked with Stephanie on the phone and The tech Chance fixed my dryer. On the day of the appointment Stephanie called to let me know Chance was on the way. Chance fixed my dryer and gave me some tips on my Dishwasher. He was reliable fast, worked clean and service was affordable.

After the diagnosis of a faulty main control board, he called the office who told him to expect the part by Wednesday. And this is the huge bonus: they offered me a loaner refrigerator/freezer at no charge and no hassle. The loaner arrived later that Saturday afternoon and by that evening, the unit was cold enough to accept all my perishable items.
The part came in Wednesday morning, the repair technician installed the board that afternoon which corrected the malfunction and Thursday morning the loaner fridge was retrieved. Just in time for my dinner party Thursday evening!
I cannot recommend this company enough! A+
