John and his team were great. I had a project that was a bit too big for me, but too small for most of the outfits i talked to to consider. John was able to fit me into the schedule right away, and his team showed up and did a great job right on schedule. Would gladly work with John again on my future projects.

I expected the job to take two to three days. It took about twice that but I still can’t say anything but positive things about the John the owner and his crew. They were always communicative regarding the schedule, problems that they foresaw or any possibility of additional expenses. Allan the project manager and his employee always showed up to my home on time and took care to leave my home spotless at the end of the work day. The attention to detail and craftsmanship was much to my satisfaction and I couldn’t be happier with the completed outcome. After beating the competition on pricing and giving me basically an immediate start date I hired them and I’ll hire them again for my next project.

John showed up on time to give me a very reasonable estimate for the project. He was professional and knowledgeable, very easy to talk to. We scheduled a date and time for the work to be done and he again showed up right now time. he had all the tools he needed for the job. He spent a good amount of time installing our mantel and made sure it was done right. He cleaned everything up when he was done, (even had his own vacuum), and the work is excellent. I would highly recommend John and his company to anyone.

This was a one-off project that required quite a bit of design work. The new built-in cabinets and microwave look like they have always been there, function well and add much needed storage to the kitchen. Very satisfied with the results.

I hired John to remodel a small kitchen (one of a kind kitchen that had some peculiar needs). I would not say he had the cheapest quote(though a fair price). But he came across as the most sincere person who quoted the job. So I gave the work to him. Once the job started, due to the peculiar nature of the job, it took a few more days than I anticipated. Looking back, I am not upset at all that it took longer because John was making sure he did the job correctly. All in all, so far I am happy with the work John did. Every remodeling job is different. If you are looking for someone who is sincere and trustworthy to handle a unique job, then he may be the right person. Quite often remodeling means, you get an English speaking contractor for half an hour, the rest of the days you have non English speaking migrant workers and you have no way to communicate with them. With John, he does most of the job himself along with side kick Allen (I hope I did not forget his name) . I highly recommend John for his sincerity and honesty.

Because of the age of the damage, this was not a particularly simple project to accomplish. John and his Project Manager Allan met the challenge head-on, and performed the work cheerfully, skillfully, professionally and promptly. In fact, John likes to whistle while he works! I liked that! I was particularly impressed by a quality displayed by this company that is rarely seen in today's environment of rising and exploding costs of living ... there was a genuine preference by this company for customer satisfaction over profit. John was very understanding of my request for a conservative approach by piecing the lower door frame rather than his pushing for complete frame replacement. The result is neat, clean and will be virtually undetectable as soon as I apply the paint which is my choice to do. I have assured Improving Homes 4 You that I will be booking other projects for their attention and repair.

Fan was fine ...outside box was $00 extra for 4 hours of work . The job could have been done in 1 hour if he did what I suggested. He started his way , then reverted to mine...3 extra hours of messing around.

This whole episode was trying to explain to Mr know-it-all what was correct, but he wouldn't hear of it until way later Bottom line is we installed it to code and his fragile pride got embarrased"

modified a custom cabinet to make the installation work. looks as if originally designed that way. they did a great job making the kitchen look great as well as the venting up through the attic and roof.

The guy showed up, reset the button for the outlets and said he was done. My daughter told him she needed gfci plugs installed and he replied that that was a 2-man job (NOT true), so he couldn't do it. She asked him to look at the breaker box but he told her after about 10 minutes which he took hitting a reset button, that his services were complete. She questioned him about the 2-hour deal we purchased, and he said his normal fee to come out is $150, so she got her money's worth. He said he had a remodel job he needed to get to, left his card and told her she could request the other services at another time. I feel completely ripped off! This was an absolute waste of $99. I blame the electrician as well as Angie's List for this poor offering.
