AAA Affordable Foundation Repair

Trying sell the house. An inspection from a prospective buyer indicated foundation problems. Got this company to make repairs. Still trying to sell the house.

They were supposed to come out to tunnel under the house and replace the old pipes with PVC, and then fill it back up and do the foundation work. They came out and did the foundation work first, and then they tunnelled under the house. They told me that they completed the work, because in the contract it stated I had to pay 5800 up front, and then in the middle of the work I had to pay another 5800, and then upon completion I would pay the remainder. I was told the work was done, and when I went over to pay them, they had already filled the tunnels. Therefore, I couldn't see anything. It looked as though everything was done, and I paid him. Within two days, we used our washing machine, and all the water came up into the sink in our kitchen. They came out a couple of days later, and they dug up the side of the house where the bathroom is. They had put a big 3x4 board along the foundation, and when they pulled the board out there was a bunch of sewage in the tunnel. It was obvious they didn't replace the pipes. I called the owner, and he said he wanted to fix the problem. He had told me that he hired a plumber to come out and do the work, but the plumber never showed. After the owner hired a new plumber, the plumber never got the proper permits to do the work. I told Chris that I would find the plumber and that he would pay for it. I found a reputable plumber who completed the plumbing work. The remaining work to be done was to backfill the tunnels that had to be dug up again. They stopped responding, and I had to hire an attorney to mediate between Chris and I. He would come here and there and then wouldn't show. After waiting for quite some time I hired someone to come and fill the tunnels. I wouldn't recommend this contractor to anyone.
