,Scott Elmblad is not to be trusted. We entered into a large scale remodel contract with his company Mesa Verde Homes. We gutted our entire home down to the studs and rebuilt in the shell. Total redo of all plumbing, wiring, HVAC, roof, sheetrock, flooring, tile, and a two additions. New Kitchen and 6 new baths. Mostl of our payments went to pay other subcontractors for previously done work that had nothing to do with our job. There was slow and very little actual progress on our job. Weeks would go by without a single person showing up to work. He is constantly robbing the new clients to take care of old business. You get the B team of subs because he's burned through all of the good ones. Finally, after six months of nothing but demo, some rough in, and out of sequence, sub-standard work being performed, I started interviewing subcontractors to understand the slow progress on our job. All of them had the same story. He never pays in full or on time, so no one would come to work unless he could get them current and pay them in advance for the work to be performed. A REAL MESS! We fired him, cut our losses ($75K), and moved on. Steer clear. You will never get to the finish line with Scott Elmblad.
