He is holding my furniture for ransom for $500 on top of what I have already paid. He tried to bring the furniture on a day I requested him not to. I will not use him again.

The three young men that showed up were very polite and professional. They did a good job with the move and didn't damage anything.

Maxwell Movers was fantastic. We found them through a friend's recommendation who used them for a large home renovation. They used Pod storage and used them for packing, and was very happy with their service. We had an in town move from a single family home to a single family home. Mr. Maxwell came to see our house to provide a quote. He filmed everything with his iPhone. The next day he provided a quote including per hour charge, trip charge and supplies, which ended up being extremely accurate. The company is small, so there's only the one crew - so you won't get stuck with a bad crew like you might at a larger company. They were very timely, careful, and Mr. Maxwell communicated well by phone and text. Furniture and mattresses were well wrapped in blankets and Saran Wrap. The thing that totally impressed me was that Mr. Maxwell found a couple of pieces of furniture that needed a small repair and he fixed them! Then he went through and knocked off the little plastic pegs and nails from the bottom of the furniture, and put felt floor protector dots on the bottom of everything! We were moving from carpet to wood and tile and we hadn't thought of that. I highly, highly recommend Maxwell Movers.

It is so hard to find a trustworthy moving company. You scan
the web and hope to find someone that is not a crook and will handle your
furnishings with care.

Robert Maxwell is a man with integrity. He owns and runs the company and also is
there doing the packing.
From the very first Robert was accommodating when I talked
with him as I planned and nothing changed during the move.
He has a fixed rate and that is it. I had Robert and two
very hard working men do my move.
I was downsizing from a large house to a much smaller home.
As we took the first load to my new house we quickly realized the available storage
area was going to be tight. Robert and his men carefully used the available
space to its fullest, even though I’m sure it was frustrating.
When they finished it was getting dark and there was still
more stuff back at my old home. Robert said that he would go back that night if
I wanted him to. They had worked hard and I was not going to push them into the
late evening.
They came back the next day and got all my stuff and my move
was complete.
The bill was what I expected, no games, no extras.
If you are looking for a moving company, you cannot go wrong
with Maxwell Movers.
