Newer Septic Systems (Aerobic Systems) and Conventional systems need to be pumped out every 2 years or so to maintain proper functioning. If the tank stays full for too long, the pumps inside the tank may become damaged and need to be replaced, so scheduled cleaning is needed to preserve the life of your septic system. Commercial Septic Systems (or high volume systems) need to be cleaned out yearly.
