Mr. Boyd advised that the sealer was permanent and that he could grind the surface of the concrete to remove as much as possible and try to make it look better. We agreed and the surface grinding was performed. The grinding removed only a portion of the sealer and what remained was a combination of the original sealer stain and a ground (bright) spot on our driveway.
After further discussion. Mr. Boyd advised that he could pressure spray our driveway to make the bright spot caused by the concrete grinding less obvious. We agreed to let him try, but he cancelled on the agreed date. We then did our own research and found that the pressure spraying offered by Mr. Boyd would only have been temporary and that once the driveway re-weathered, the stain and bright spot would reappear and we would be right back to where we started.
We discovered that the only way to make the cosmetic repair more lasting was to have the driveway cleaned, pressure sprayed and then sealed with the appropriate type of driveway sealer. We were checking into another company to do this work as we really did not want the g2floorscapes crew back on our property and so advised Mr. Boyd. He advised that his company could do the same work and advised that he could send a scope of work. We have not received the promised scope of work. We have not paid Mr. Boyd the $1,200 balance pending satisfactory resolution of this dispute.
Mr. Boyd has threatened to consult his attorney and in his last email received on Aug. 17, Mr. Boyd threatened to place a lien on our property. I requested the previously promised scope of work on Aug. 17 wanting to know full details of the process, chemicals to be used and a description of how the driveway would appear after the work. I also tried to establish contact with Mr. Boyd on Aug. 20 and 21. He will not respond.
