Matt from Chimney Pro came out to service the gas logs, however, when I used the remote to show him that the logs were not igniting, the logs suddenly worked!  He said that since he didn't do anything there was no charge, and that sometimes there is air in the lines that cause the fireplaces not to ignite, until the air is cleared.
Eventhough he didn't charge for the visit, he answered several questions I had about the operation of the gas logs.  Matt was extremely professional, friendly, and customer oriented.  Will definitely call them next time I have a need for fireplace services.

It went well, they were prompt and professional and competent. I really liked dealing with them when I spoke with them and when they first came by the house so I did not get multiple bids. Their pricing was in line with my expectations. They got back to me promptly when I called with questions about the scope of the work and I they were actually able to schedule and do the work early than they had anticipated. They recommended some additional work to the chimney, but told us how we could do it ourselves to save a little money. We may yet call them back for that additional work.

My husband and I recently purchased a 37 year old home that we knew had some issues with the fireplace. We knew that the mortar was damaged at the cap and that over the years, water had leaked down and damaged some parts of the chimney. It was an issue we knew we wanted repaired before we moved in. My husband and I both work full time, so I was first impressed when Matt agreed to meet us on a Saturday morning. He was ON TIME and very friendly. While inspecting the interior of the fireplace, Matt touched one of the bricks and it literally fell out of the wall. He advised us that there had indeed been substantial water damage, essentially washing away all of the mortar holding the bricks in place. Matt was prompt in scheduling us for the work; he was efficient, finishing the main parts of the job in a single day. He did a couple of weeks later return to install the metal bar that covers the screen mechanism. When he was finished, he called to let me know. We would highly recommend Matt and Chimney Pro to anyone needing chimney repair.

We recently moved into our home and wanted to convert the gas starter to gas logs, and also wanted the chimney cleaned and the top looked at. They were so nice and professional.They looked at the chimney and said it was in great shape, with no cleaning necessary. They replaced a screen on the chimney top, mortaring it down. They measured for gas logs, and recommended a style. The logs are beautiful. We love the look, and I would definitely call them again.

Tech arrived when promised, was very thorough with evaluation--took many pictures, explained the process and what issues might be. Received estimate of job about 48 hours later and ordered fireplace from them. Installation will take place once it arrives. I will update post once installation is complete. So far, very happy with the process.

Old fireplace was removed and stored on back porch. New fireplace was installed, new piping up chimney was replaced (new unit requires 8 inch pipe vs. 6 inch pipe); awaiting chimney cap installation to complete process. Matthew is very responsive and install has gone smoothly so far.
