Chuck, from All American, helped out tremendously. My rental property sustained hail damage during the April 2013 storm. He worked very hard to get me approved for a new roof. I have been told, by others, that my insurance company can be difficult when it comes to roof replacements. Chuck used his roofing expertise to navigate the insurance process for me. I believe, were it not for him, I wouldn't have received a new roof. While many of my neighbors got their roofs replaced, several neighbors didn't and are now fighting their insurance companies.
My roof had high end shingles that were discontinued by the manufacture. The insurance company had difficulty understanding this. Fortunately, my roofer was able to get the insurance company to understand this. If you run into this situation, please get a knowledgeable roofer that is willing to work for you.
I am pleased with the outcome. Chuck was onsite most of the time. This is atypical of most companies I have dealt with. Manufacturer's installation called for 4 nails but the crew used 6 nails. They cleaned up at the end of each day. There were a few items at the end but were taken care of. Chuck even wiped down my gutters for me after the crews finished.
If you have one of the major insurance companies in Houston, I suggest you contact All American. They are recommended by the manufacture of my shingles (CertainTeed) and do an excellent job.
