When I came to pick up my two dogs, the 'anal-gland-issue' caused my dog to have a bit of diarrhea accident just seconds after I got her into the back of my SUV. When Tammy and Wendy found out, they went above and beyond and came out to my SUV and helped me clean up the mess and clean up my dog again, which truly saved my day. I would never have asked them to take that one, especially in 100-degree heat, and I couldn't be more grateful.
While the cost was a good deal higher than what we were paying at our previous provider, it was more than worth it - the customer service was excellent and we'll pay the price again the next time we need grooming.
I would use a groomer whom I trust and who takes pride in their work than the convenience of a chain groomer focused on volume.
I am very picky about who grooms my pampered pooch. When I first got my poodle at one year of age, another groomer must have abused her...she was scared to death to be groomed. I explained this to my new groomer (this was about 5 years ago), and in no time my dog was pulling me into the grooming shop!
The bathing and grooming areas are HUGE and clean. What I love about the two groomers at Allure is they will personally greet you and your dog, and they will tell you how the grooming went. If they see a problem on the skin, etc., they are not shy about pointing it out and offering suggestions.
They are, in my opinion, the best groomers in The Woodlands, Conroe, and Magnolia. Just a short drive West on FM1488 (about 6 miles) once you exit I-45 on the left-hand side.
The large chain pet stores with a high turnover of groomers---that's not for me. In my opinion, there is huge difference in quality of grooming at Allure versus the large chain pet stores. Another popular grooming store that has several locations in The Woodlands is also NOT MY FAVORITE, because the grooming room is very small, the viewing window is just about the only time I saw who was grooming my dog, and it seemed like the groomers were discouraged from talking to the dog owners.
You WILL NOT GET THAT AT ALLURE. You will be interacting with the owner who, with her co-worker will take very good care of your dog. I guarantee once you try Allure, you will never take your dog to another location!
