Tammy was wonderful, and the experience was great.  One of of our two dogs had an anal gland issue that we were not aware of until we dropped her off at Allure; the groomers were very accommodating and offered to groom her anyways.  The dogs came out looking and smelling great, and didn't shed - which is saying something, given that my larger dog normally sheds enough fur in one day to knit a sweater.
When I came to pick up my two dogs, the 'anal-gland-issue' caused my dog to have a bit of diarrhea accident just seconds after I got her into the back of my SUV.  When Tammy and Wendy found out, they went above and beyond and came out to my SUV and helped me clean up the mess and clean up my dog again, which truly saved my day.  I would never have asked them to take that one, especially in 100-degree heat, and I couldn't be more grateful.
While the cost was a good deal higher than what we were paying at our previous provider, it was more than worth it - the customer service was excellent and we'll pay the price again the next time we need grooming.

We took our rescue puppy Lilly to see these ladies. Lilly has long shaggy hair some sheepdog/chow possibly in her family. Lilly is a bit timid. They were very general and patient with her? Stopping to calm her when she got scarred. What I picked her up she looked fabulous! You could tell she was happier and cooler! Highly recommend this place! Will be back for sure!

They were great with my older Llasa who is blind in one eye and has a skin condition. My Pomeranian was done beautifully as well.

My retired champion dogs are not better or worse than my rescues who I would want treated just as well as a show dog. If they are so concerned about the quality of service they could provide to a show dog owner (who knows a good groom/groomer), then I would worry about them working on my rescues, mixed breeds, or client dogs. They should be providing quality service to all clients. If they are worried about making a mistake in a shampoo and blow dry - then I will gladly go elsewhere. If I were a companion owner, I would wonder why they refuse service to an owner who knows how to find the mistakes.

Wendy used to groom my 4yr old standard poodle when she was employed by another company. I never had to tell her how I wanted him cut - she automatically knew what the standard was and had the knowledge and skill to get it right every time! Stuff happens and she had moved on - to where I didn't have an opportunity to find out. So for over 1 1/2 yrs and countless groomers later I had had enough of the chain groomer shops where groomers come and go so I decided to try to find a small groomer. I dropped by A'Lure to check it out as I would never leave my dogs just anywhere. Around the corner Wendy popped her head out! It was a miracle! Will never use anyone else as long as she is grooming. Took both dogs in today and they look beautiful.

I would use a groomer whom I trust and who takes pride in their work than the convenience of a chain groomer focused on volume.

The owner of Allure and her co-worker are professional and very qualified groomers. I have been taking my standard poodle to the groomer for YEARS before she opened Allure (A shop of her own!) in November 2012.
I am very picky about who grooms my pampered pooch. When I first got my poodle at one year of age, another groomer must have abused her...she was scared to death to be groomed. I explained this to my new groomer (this was about 5 years ago), and in no time my dog was pulling me into the grooming shop!
The bathing and grooming areas are HUGE and clean. What I love about the two groomers at Allure is they will personally greet you and your dog, and they will tell you how the grooming went. If they see a problem on the skin, etc., they are not shy about pointing it out and offering suggestions.
They are, in my opinion, the best groomers in The Woodlands, Conroe, and Magnolia. Just a short drive West on FM1488 (about 6 miles) once you exit I-45 on the left-hand side.
The large chain pet stores with a high turnover of groomers---that's not for me. In my opinion, there is huge difference in quality of grooming at Allure versus the large chain pet stores. Another popular grooming store that has several locations in The Woodlands is also NOT MY FAVORITE, because the grooming room is very small, the viewing window is just about the only time I saw who was grooming my dog, and it seemed like the groomers were discouraged from talking to the dog owners.
You WILL NOT GET THAT AT ALLURE. You will be interacting with the owner who, with her co-worker will take very good care of your dog. I guarantee once you try Allure, you will never take your dog to another location!

I loved both of the ladies there. Owners/Managers. They treated my fur babies as I would. Very nice. Good service. I will use them again.
