Angela, was never on time. She would phone a couple hours past the time she was due to arrive, and let me know when she was coming. Very disappointed with her performance, her work ethic, and her staff. Most of the time her staff didn't show up. She didn't have the knowledge to do things that were on her contract, she signed. Some things she didn't even complete.
Response from True Color Painting
"my response to her is below from her husband's report. i did my best and her house looked 90% better when i left! again she and her husband is over reacting with everything! she was so disappointed? that is why when i left the day she payed me, she asked me if i wanted to do addtional work in the home!!!! also she said several times through out the job how good things looked. her husband got into town and her whole attitude CHANGED!"

The she raced to her car and sped away. None of the remaining bathrooms/bedrooms were finsihed regarding the wallpaper (which included resecuring loose edges and corners). Angela arranged for her boyfriend, a contract carpenter to install some of the lighting, fire and gas detectors, and bathroom fixtures. In a normal world, I would expect the contract painter to reinstall everything that they had removed. Well, apparently Angela did not think so.
Mark did return to install several additional fixtures,a nd performed satisfactorily, at a price of $40.00 per hour!
Angela continued the dodge and run, intermittent approach to completing the job, which eventually engulfed a month's time!
After much arguing, and only because we had held back 50% of the pay, did True Colors Painting "complete" the job. Complete is used here in VERY GRATUITOUS terms. The wallpaper was not completed, Angela was extremely rude during the completion, and simply did not show up or call to warn us of any deviation from schedule. When asked, Angela became very volatile, and behaved in a way that I found completely lacked of any professionalism at all.
As this is now over, and we search for a qualified individula to perform the wallpaper work, we can only say, DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS "COMPANY!!!!!"

"first im sorry the customer feels the way he does. iv been in biz for over 20 yrs and always aim to please. my response is the husband that wrote this report was NEVER IN TOWN when we working. his facts are twisted and over reacted with his discription. yes i was late the first day due to some personal issues and i did call his wife. i had two painters not one, one painter did drip a small amount on the floor and i took care of it. asking for food? i was taking some meds and wanted to put something in my stomach before i did. i asked the member if she had a apple or something. drank water several times from the sink. the job did take longer then expected and sometimes jobs do. he failed to mention due to his wifes health issues she didnt want us working in the home several times. that put us back. also i aways put switch plates back on and WE DID! the few i didnt was only because she didnt want them put back on. wallpaper seams? i said i would glue them back as best as i could. note...i did not put paper up in this home. i did my best trying to close the seams. there was nothing i didnt complete on this job. yes i brought in a women to put up one sheet of wall paper that was asked of me. the women i hired did what i told her to do. all the paper in this house should have been taken down but that was their call not mine. i did get angry over the phone when this customer who again was never at the home was telling me how to do my job and his facts were off! later in the day i called his wife and said i was sorry for losing my temper with him. i told her i will come back and take care of what ever they want. when i did i was there for 6 hrs doing work that some wasnt even my touch ups. however i did it and i was just quiet, NOT RUDE! Bottom line i take pride in my work and have over 87 great reviews on many other sites i advertise just from june of this year. these people took advantage of me and will prob continue to do to others. they held back $100 !!!! i was disappointed but said nothing and took my check. call me crazy but if they were soooo unhappy with me and my work why did she ask me if i wanted to do more work in their home? remove wallpaper in living rm wall and repaint.i told her if i decide to do so i will let her know. i decided against it. sad to even read such a review. end of story. not responding again on this report."

Angela and her painters were very professional. I LOVE the results of the work that was done, it was reasonably priced and she and her company were very reliable. I would use them in the future if i need anything else painted, In addition, Angela has excellent taste in color and design and i was thrilled with the colors in which she helped me to pick out.

Our two story foyer was painted within a day and a half and our bathroom was done in one afternoon with the bedroom taking a bit longer because we went with a faux finish on the accent wall. The owner, Angela, was very helpful in trying to find color combinations to work with our home decor and she took fabric from our bedspread to get a color matched up by one of her friends in the painting business. She took a while to get back to us a few times but the finished product was very nice. She worked really hard on the faux finish wall and painted a sample board of what the finish would look like.I am still not too sure I am in love with the faux finish accent wall since it looks a bit metallic and shiny. However, this is not Angela's fault since I agreed to a separate sheen glaze finish on the accent wall. There were some areas where she touched up that don't match the rest of the wall. She is going to drop off the paint color at our house so I can touch up those areas myself. It is not very noticeable so I do not consider it to be something that would take away from the overall paint job experience.

Angela (the company owner and painter) seemed very promising and friendly initially; she was enthusiastic and made various promises about starting the job on time, doing quality work, and finishing up within 2 weeks so that my husband and I could get back to our busy lives. However, the job was started late and took over 2 MONTHS in total. She missed large portions of the walls in our living room and bathroom and had to be called to come back and finish; when we did call her she stated, "there's more paint in the garage, you can just touch it up yourself". Then she did not show up when she said she would, but came another day and wondered why we weren't home. She left 1 bedroom a streaky mess, and she was very rude when we asked her to please come back and re-paint the room or give us some of our money back. It took over a month of phone calls to get her to come back and re-paint it, and she acted very put-out about it as well.
Response from True Color Painting
"first of all the job didn't take two months for us to complete. it took them two months to decide to have me get in and get started! they kept changing their mind. i missed large areas in their living room? first time i heard about this. the bath room color they picked out was very dark color. it wasn't easy to cover. they decided on colors after we started. i had to put three coats on the bathroom walls. didn't charge them either. if there was a miss it had to be very small. as far as the streaky mess in the bedroom... that isn't the kind of work i do. i don't leave messy streaks! each bedroom was filled with so much furniture it made my job harder. i didn't have a issue coming back and repainting the bedroom. it's just i got really busy and was doing my best to get to them but it wasn't fast enough. she didn't share that i painted their garage for free either and if there were misses i wasn't aware until just now. all i know is i jumped through hoops for these people and really sad to hear what they shared here. i've been 'n biz 15 yrs and i realize i can't please everyone... i have many happy customers! i just joined angies list, nov 2009."
