LYTLE HEATING AND AIR

Our air conditioning-heating unit has been broken down since the summer of 2011. We contacted one repair service and they came out and told us it was leaking freon but they could not tell where the leak was. So, they replaced the freon with the old type because the unit was 17 years old, and then left. We never heard from them again even though we tried to contact them. My husband contacted another repair service and after several weeks of hearing nothing he contacted them again and was then told that the weather had to warm up before they could come and check where the unit was leaking. During this time, we were having to run our unit on Emergency Heat which really used the electricity. I finally got tired of it all and contacted Angie's List and found Lytle Heating and Air Conditioning. I called right away and had no trouble contacting the owner. We made the appointment for the following week to have someone come out & check the unit. The individual that came was VERY PROMPT and VERY NICE and VERY INFORMATIVE. He found the leak in the unit outside, not inside where he had originally thought it might be. He showed me where it was, and took his time explaining what would need to be done to repair the unit and what could happen if it began to leak inside the part of the unit in the house. He never once mentioned replacing the unit with a new one but as he was explaining things to me, I began to see that, with the age of the unit, 17 years old, and the fact that it used the old type freon and the government is putting a limit on how much of that freon could be sold, I asked him if it would be better to replace the whole unit. We discussed it some more and I made up my mind to have it replaced. They were going to come out the next week but I asked if they could do it that same week. They were so nice and cooperative that the owner made arrangements to go into San Antonio and pick up the new unit and it was installed that same DAY. I was so surprised!!! The two men that came to install the unit were also very nice and very professional. They came and began removing the old unit and the owner arrived with the new one. The whole thing was in place and all cleaned up within 4 hours. After waiting for 9 months to have someone come out to repair the old unit, Lytle Heating and Air Conditioning replied to my call and had it done in one day and I might say, at a very reasonable price! I am very pleased!

It was excellent. It was very personable. Very punctual, they did a great job.

I called in the morning and he was able to come that afternoon (on a weekend even.) He explained everything he was doing and did his job in a timely manner. I have no complaints with this company.
