The Watermelon Shop

It was Valentine's and I forgot. I was so fixin to be in the dog house. I called The Watermelon Shop at 2 in the afternoon and talked to Elena. She was really nice. They were out of roses becuase of the Valentine's Day rush and she offered to do something creative out of the flowers that they still had on hand. I wasn't too surprised they were out of some kinds of flowers, after all I did wait until every other flower shop I called told me they couldn't even deliver that late on Valentine's Day. I found the Watermelon Shop & Florists because another florist referred me to them. I was told they'd only been open about a year. Anyway, I saw the flowers they delivered a couple of days later. All I can say is... they were spectacular. I"m glad they didn't have the roses. A dozen roses would have been boring in comparison to what they did. It was full of bright colors with twisted spirals of wire and beads and the matching wire was coiled around the vase. I know my descriptions sounds lame, but this thing was so cool! I made major brownie points on this. I'm just going to call them first next time.
