The garage door and opener came with the house. The house was built and occupied in the summer of 2011, a little over a year before the garage door opener failed. We had a lightening strike about a week earlier, it had taken out my internet connection and my computer, so I was not surprised when the garage door opener failed.
I looked the situation over and realized that the opener would probably need a new control board. I started to order one and then just decided I did not have time to make the repairs myself so I called Overhead Door. They repaired the door opener under warranty. That was nice, what was nicer, they reprogrammed the opener so I did not have to, the made all the adjustments and cleaned up after themselves. It was as if the door were magically working again.
That is service! I will pay a premium for that.
