IVAN SMITH FURNITURE

me and my wife were looking for a piece of furniture. thier prices were about average. they were not helpful and just told us where in the showroom those items where. we made our way back there which was very hard to get to. my wife is disabled and has trouble walking and uses a cane . the aisle were so crowded she had a lot of trouble getting to the back of the store where the items were located. after looking for a few minutes we asked how much they charged for delivery. we were told that a delivery charge was around $50. the item would only cost around $200-$300. thats something like 17 % additional chardge just to deliver  in town.



after looking for a little while more another gentleman asked to help us but we had already decided to go somehwere else.



the selection there was good. however, their delivery charge for in lufkin was too high.



we did check with a couple other places that both offered us free deliver for just buying the items from them.



as we left the store we notice a sales ad taped to the showroom window that we didnt see on entering. it just so happened one of the items on sale was what we were looking for. noone in the store told us of the sale and nothing was marked with a sales sign.



i wouldnt recommmed ivan smith to anyone unless they checkout the other places in town and all the possible sales ads. then if they are the only place with the items you choice then use them but keep in mind they do charge for delivery were as others in town do not. this adds to the price of the item. so it may be better to purchase your furniture somewhere else.



i found in other furniture stores they were willing to reduce their posted prices some just to make the sale...not at ivan smith. they have NO customer service at all.
