It was no fault of their own but they did not call me and tell me I had to call them. Apparently last week or the week before whenever I got my water heater, there was a run on water heaters so they got to the warehouse to pick up water heaters and the distributor of water heaters whoever that may be and they had to wait for the truck to be unloaded because there were no water heaters in stock. So instead of getting a phone call saying, we are stuck here, we can't get to you in the time that we told you, that was my only thing. A phone call would have made it that I didn't have to call them and say, you said 8:00 o'clock, it's now 9:00 o'clock, where are you? I had put off going to the grocery store. Other than that, great, A's across the board. They were in and out and it was wonderful. They did have the best price in town.

A few days before Christmas, I noticed a small fountain in our front yard. A friend highly recommended Micah, so I called immediately. They advised me how to determine whether it was our sprinkler system or the main water line to the house. When we determined it was the main water line, they offered to come out that day to give a diagnosis and estimate. After meeting with Micah, I did a little checking on what he had told me and contacted another plumber we had used before, who was not able to do the work as soon and the price would be higher. Micah scheduled the excavation crew for the next morning, and when it was pouring rain, called me to discuss options and potential consequences. Micah took personal responsibility for making sure we had water during the holidays, even though this was our first business contact. He got the necessary permit and repaired the line on Christmas Eve day and restored water service to us, although he couldn't close up the trench until the City had inspected the repairs. When the temperature dropped below freezing, we were concerned about the open pipe, and he promised to repair it at any time if it should freeze and break, with no additional charge. After the City inspection, he promptly had the trench filled. The damage to our yard was amazingly minimal, in spite of having the work done when the yard was muddy from the leak plus the rain. Every contact with this company has been very friendly, helpful, and trustworthy.

He was wonderful. He's made a lot of people in our neighborhood very happy. If your problem is an easy fix he'll come out and show you exactly how to fix it but the last time he was out it was a larger job that need to be fixed so I actually trusted that he was not lying to me, because in the past he had done several things before and told me that I didn't need an entire new item. Of all of the five projects he's done for us none of them have ever need to be re-done, and he's always here on time.

Micas came out twice but they were not able to unclog the drain either time.  I am not upset about that, they wanted to go on the roof but the weather was rainy so they couldn't do it right then.  They had not charged me anything at that point but I offered to pay them for the two trips and they asked for $100 which I thought was fair (I understand that their time is worth something, even if they were not able to fix my problem), and I paid it immediately.  The next Thursday I left the patio door unlocked and told them to come out at their leisure to finish the job and they said they would be out "today or tomorrow".  Friday afternoon it was still not done, I called them and they said they had gotten busy with peoples flooded houses and would come out Monday, I said fine.  On Wednesday it was still not done and they had not called back.  After that, the weather turned cold and rainy again - they had a whole week of warm beautiful weather and did not come out nor did they call me and tell me they would not be able to come out, which prevented me from calling someone else to take care of the job right away.  I did call them again and voice my displeasure and they acknowledged their failings, but at that point I was not willing to trust them with any more of my time, which (although they may not understand or believe) is worth something too.
I understand that things happen but after a week I feel like they should have done what they promised me they would do, even if they were busy.  Failing that, they should have at least told me they couldn't do the work so I could get someone else to do it, which I eventually did.  Classic plumbing did what they said they were going to do, and for a fair price..  I will be using them from now on.  Which is really a shame because Micas is less than a mile away from my house.  Oh well.

The hot water regulator in the guest bathroom shower was only delivering cold water. He had it fixed in less than 5 minutes. I'm not going to give away any trade secrets here, but if you have a guest shower seldom used and you have a Moen fixture turn the faucet on (all the way to 'Hot') at least once a month. The cost of the repair was less than other plumbing company's trip charge. The most interesting part of the experience was he fixed it with a hammer!
He explained everything and was clear about what may have caused the problem. He did say that there may be a chance he would have to replace the regulator, but wanted to try to free up the seized device first. A couple of taps with the hammer and hot water was flowing. He also went on to explain how he came upon this solution. I have found the plumber I will call on for anything in the future.

As always, Micah is on time, very friendly and professional. He invariably knows what is wrong after listening to my perception of the problem and gets right to work. He is efficient and neat. His is a small business which generally allows him to charge less than the big guys. He also does a better job than they do. I highly recommend this business to anyone who needs a plumber. As the name says Micah's HONEST Plumbing.
Very Satisfied in Allen!

I had used Micah for a leaky toilet and to fix the hot water regulator in a shower.  This time, I had a clogged disposal.  He fixed it quickly and didn't charge me because it was such an easy fix (not the disposal, just a pipe after the disposal)  We have always found him to be fair and, well, honest.  :)

I can't say enough good things about this company. From start to finish it was smooth sailing with honesty, integrity and professionalism throughout.  For starters, the price quoted for this job was at least 50% cheaper than anyone else I called.
Micah responded quickly and was very honest with me regarding what work needed to be done to fix the leak in the backyard faucet. This wasn't just a quick replacement job, the concrete housing had to be loosened and re-fastened before and after the new faucet with the required backwash protection was installed. Micah even offered to call him back anytime if the faucet starts leaking and he would come make it right.
This is my go to company for my plumbing needs. I have 100% faith in this company for the job to get done right and at the best cost. Do yourself a favor and give them a call, you won't be disappointed!
