Hardware & Home Improvement Stores
Sutherland's has some good prices and products, and their garden section is usually where I buy whatever I need. The people in the garden section are usually pretty knowledgable. But in the main store, they have some older workers there that I can only describe as dinosaurs. Rather unpleasant dealing with these men, they want to see women as the " little lady," and you better not be smarter than they are. What a pain. If you are working on a plumbing or irrigation problem, you are better off at one of the other Home Improvement stores in town. I can't speak for the other sections of the store, but those two guys in plumbing have guaranteed that I don't feel comfortable bringing questions to Sutherlands.
