I recently bought a house and closed on the home, prior to moving to Lubbock. Therefore the lawn was not being cut, my realtor after passing by the house and before I had moved to Lubbock, noticed the grass had overgrown and in an attempt to help contacted SOUTH PLAINS LAWN CARE II aka AAA BACKFLOW SERVICES and she stated they would charge 40.00 per cut. This guys never contacted me to inform me of their rates or establish a business relation at all. I moved to Lubbock my lawn had no grass was only dirt, then a month after I moved some guys showed up and tried to cut "the grass" only lifting dirt. Within minutes my father stopped them telling them to leave and to contact me as I was not aware of their "contract". I then shortly received a bill for 149.00. The bill detailed 99.00 for the first cut then 49 for the second cut (when my father stopped them). I then called this business (owner is Scott) who stated they did provide the service even the one my father stopped after arguing with this person for sometime he stated would be willing to forget the 49.00 but would still charge 99.00 for the first cut, despite them not doing anything special like trimming or hedges, nothing. Then after trying to reason with him that that amount was excessive he threatened to submit the charge for collection. So I STRONGLY discourage anyone from doing business with these people.
