Laundry room work was poor quality. Some of the shelves sag and some of the verticle boards between the shelves no longer meet at the bottom of the shelf. The. floor was different than the adjacent kitchen which was ok, but he put a round molding where the two floor coverings meet instead of making them come together flush. Plumbing under the house has not been a problem. His crew installed lots of new plastic tubing. The bathrooms were done with poor quality fixtures. Rust started to form around the drain in the front bathroom and the stopper lever in the back bath has never worked. In the front bath, the shower plumbing was rigged and the enclosure makes it impossible to fix.The glue behind the enclosures shows around the edge of the tubs and looks ragged and dirty. In the front bath the encloser covered a window. The window shows through the enclosure and the covered window shows a board that has come loose on one end hanging down that looks so bad during the daytime we try to remember to keep the shower curtain closed because it is visible from the front door. All the hardware for the tubs had to be replaced within a year. Both commodes were replaced within a couple of years if memory serves. I called him back out within a couple of months and he replaced the rusting drain in the front bathtub. It rusted again a couple of months later but he would not take my calls. After several months, I stopped calling. He was very unprofessional and ill-mannered toward my son who was about his age. They had never met. He also was disrespectful to his workers.
Lastly, he conducted himself well at first--good personally, very likable and assured me that he always gave a 5 yr warranty on all of his work. I am ashamed to say that I failed to notice that there was no mention of such a warranty in writing until it was too late. It was pretty obvious that it was our first time to have that much work done and he took full advantage. Both tubs probably didn't need to be replaced but he was a very good salesman. During the time the work was being done, he kept trying to talk us into d*** other work like knocking out the wall between our living room and the kitchen and we almost did but just didn't want to spend that much more. Later another workman told us that he couldn't do that. Apparently that wall would was a main support and I shudder when I think how close we came to listening to him..Licensing
