Scalped an area of my backyard that has my thickest growing grass, I hope that it will come back but looks bad now. Very sloppy on some areas that are very uneven. I was then billed $70.00 for overgrown yard. My yard was not overgrown and I made that clear  to them. They never even address the problem I had with scalping my yard, just wanted to charge me extra. My big mistake was not checking with Angie's List first, got the info from a friend, last time I will do that.  I will not be paying that extra charge and I will warn everyone to stay away from this business.

Star Landscape does come on time and they do complete their work as advertised. However, they are very sloppy about paying attention. While trimming a hedge, they cut my hose and did not reimburse me. I bought a new hose in a bright color and so far they have not cut that one.
While cutting the same hedge, they sliced through an electrical line to a minisplit in one of the back bedrooms. They did not reimburse me for that either. I now have bright masking tape wrapped around the line and so far they have not cut through it again.
I have two large dogs that are sometimes in the back yard. The work order for lawn mowing and the work order for shrub trimming say to ring the doorbell to be sure the dogs are back in the house. Although other companies like Perm-o-Green are able to remember to ring the doorbell, Star Landscape has NEVER rung the doorbell. My gates are also wired shut to keep the dogs from accidentally opening them and escaping. Perm-o-Green replaces the wires, but Star Landscape usually drops the wires on the ground and does not bother to replace them when they leave. Making calls and writing e-mails has had no effect.
Until recently both of my dogs were elderly and were not too inclined to escape, but my new dogs are younger and I am not willing to lose them for the sake of keeping Star Landscape. I am very disappointed in this company.

requested this company to give us a quote on finishing out a flagstone patio and walkway for us. I had done a lot of the prep work and just needed someone to finish it out. It took several phone calls over a month time span to even get someone out to look at it. They told us they were very busy and gave us a quick quote that seemed to be about twice what the job was worth. If you are busy and dont want to do the work, just tell me, I can appreciate that, but don't over bid someone like this. It really just hacked us off and caused me to feel the need to write this.

I will not use Star Landscape again, nor recommend them to anyone. I don't live at the property, and I have found they have caused damage.

There was never any follow up from the company.  I always had to call them.  Even then, there were never responsive. There were a lot of delays. We had some problems with the lawn as well.
