Acted as architect and general contractor for backyard remodel, which included two pergolas and an outdoor kitchen. As a architect, we found him to be uninspired and did not bring much imagination or input in to the project. Also, as architect, he failed to make plans that were in compliance with city codes and regulations.
As a general contractor, we found him to be a very poor communicator regarding all aspects of the project. He never had subcontractors show up when they were promised and in two cases we had to provide plumbing and electrical contractors, after his failed to show up for two weeks. His solution for drainage issues was to have the water run across the sidewalks. All of his subcontractors were very expensive and did not always insure that project was within Lubbock city codes. His concrete subcontractor failed to put footing for pavilion support in the correct places and our second contractor had to redo footings to bring project up to city code. It cost us over $2000 just to bring project up to city code. I would not hire this guy to do anything that involves building anything. He is a disinterested and absent general contractor.
Needless to say, the work is good, the design is okay, but the service after the sale is terrible.
