Volvo is very tricky as far as oil change and how it has to be done, and so we just do better going to their shop. There was no problem with stuff like that ever.

My car was still under warranty therefore Volvo was also covering the cost of routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes. The cost was never an issue until about a year ago when the warranty expired and I had to start covering that. They have always gotten me in pretty quickly. They have always been nice to work with. They simply tell me exactly what they have done and if there are any precautions I need to take for consideration, they let me know. Like with yesterday with my transmission issue, they did point out that that hose they replaced does hang low in the undercarriage of the car and to be careful when I'm driving over speed bumps or into dips. The guy said that possibly could have been the reason why that hose got cracked in the first place, and stuff to know.

It took them several days because they were backlogged on repairs so I rented a car and just waited it out. It was no big deal to me. With transmission, it could have been much, much worse. I think they were very responsive and concerned, and friendly. They knew that it was transmission, and it could be really, really bad news cost wise and they seemed as genuinely glad as I was that it turned out benignly. Sometimes with foreign cars, you are going to go with higher prices I think the price was fair enough. They have always done reliable work. There has never been a thing with a repair or maintenance that had any questions about it. They are very quick on the phone and letting me know what's up with an issue. They are always good about quoting price in advance. My wife also drives a Volvo and it was the same thing there. If it's something major especially they get with us quickly and they let us know what's up, what we are facing price wise so that we can make the best decision we can. That's why I like them. Generally, I am favorably inclined about their punctuality. They operate on the basis of appointments, and so it might mean that it might be 2 days before they can see me. With my car yesterday, it was from Thursday to Tuesday, but that was the case simply because they were having a big backlog of customers. They are extremely courteous, transparent, informative. They seem to understand my concerns, and they put themselves in my shoes in a nice way. I feel that they are a good place and they are trustworthy.

They are very pleasant and fair. I trust them. They are very busy so you have to make an appointment to get in. It is a family business so it is so comfortable.

I first researched cars I wanted for several weeks and found a couple of Hyundai's that I liked on Mears Mazda's website. The website was extremely easy to navigate. I drove up to their lot and got out and looked at a couple of cars. One of the salesman told me if there was anything he could do to let him know and then he kind of stood out of the way. I told him that I would like to test drive the car. He went with me on the test drive and answered all of my questions. He recommended test driving some other cars to make sure the Hyundai was the one I wanted. He told me to just look at his inventory and pick some to drive. I drove two other cars, a Kia Optima and a Mazda (I don't remember the model). All were about in the same price range. I told him I really liked the Hyundai Elantra and asked if we could do the paperwork. He asked me if I had any specific terms. I asked if the price could come down and he said no, it was on sale. (Which was true, the blue book on the car was about 3,000 above the price they had on the sale sticker) From there he asked how many months and then took it to their finance guy. Within 30 minutes I was signing papers on the financing. Within 1.5 hours from the time I drove up, I was leaving with my newly purchased car. Everything was very low pressure and everyone was extremely curteous and professional. It was fun to buy this car.
