I called this company based on a very good recommendation. Electrical work went pretty well and high quality. This company originally was as electrician, but moved into general remodel- I was one of the first to have a small remodel. They estimated 2 weeks for the job but drug it out for almost three months on a very part time basis. We agreed (in writing) on 1/2 payment up front and 1/2 upon completion. The contractor was going through some rough personal times and repeatedly requested early payments and I tried to help by paying portions early- by the time 3/4 were paid, I was verbally abused for the remainder after I said I would pay when the job was done- they left and didn't finish the job. They kept about $120 worth of materials I purchased for the job- that I will have to purchase again. They subcontracted the cabinets, drywall repair, and painting. The company they brought in to build the cabinets (King) could not draw the cabinets so we could agree on the dimensions and look. They were to copy the exiting cabinets style and construction and install new cabinets in a new location. I ended up providing overall dimensions and rough drawings. They brought back cabinets 1/2 of which did not fit and were grossly oversized. They tried to remedy the incorrect cabinets and there was a small improvement, but still incorrectly sized and the quality was lacking some doors would not close or they were loose on their hinges (poor fit and finish)- this was not repaired (I have since removed and thrown away 2 of the 4 cabinets). The inside of the cabinets were damaged and left in poor incomplete condition after installation of the microwave- particularly the vent. Fit of the microwave within the cabinet was very poor- with wide gaps on the sides and and unsightly opening on the bottom. There was no clean up at the worksite. At first the company was pleasant to deal with, but as the project was continually delayed and I was pressured for early payment- conditions worsened and in the end was very acrimonious. They have my money and I have a poor incomplete studio that I will have to pay someone else to complete. Frustrated. See review on painting separately for Juan Flores.
