Flatlands Painting & Remodeling

It went great. We will hire them again to finish the rest of the rooms. Very nice, and willing to work around the movers.

Flatlands did almost no prep work. As a result, paint started peeling before they had completed the job.they had to redo much of the work. They used the wrongInt on some areas and refused to do anything about. It. He finally offered me $75 to have. The front door repainted by someone else. He paid $25 of that. The work needs to be completely redone already. The prep and the work itself were all far below par. Warning: DO NOT use this's inter. You will regret it.

Prep work was extremely poor. Did not scrape and sand effectively before painting. Paint overspray all over driveway. Poor quality workmanship. Used the wrong paint on front door and shutters and acknowledged that but refused to do anything about it. Did redo some of the work on rain gutters that he had not scraped and sanded prior to painting and were peeling before the job was even finished. The owner agreed to pay for having the front door repainted, but he never did so. I am going to have to hire another painter to correct mistakes and to redo areas that were done so poorly. Numerous phone calls went unanswered. Would disappear for weeks at a time in the middle of the job. Is refusing any to compensate me for the sloppy job.

Contacted the provider and he promptly came by and inspected the job. He, within 2 days, gave us an estimate which was fair. That was the last we saw of him. I last contaced him on 6/6 and he assured me that he would call on 6/9 as to what time he would be by on 6/10 to perform the services we had agreed on. We have not heard from him nor have I contacted him since. In fact, all of the contacting has been by us and nothing from the provider.

Dennis and his team provided good advise on project. The siding was a repair of 100 sq ft. Took time to blend with older shingles. Paint job was done on time and in budget. Follow up with me after completion and addressed all noticed touch up items. Exceeded expectations for quality and performance.

The place looks like new. Very professional job. They missed one or two nooks and crannies the first time but came right back to correct that. Bill is also great to work with. Very conscientious. We will be using them for exterior work as well.

The house looks great!  Bill and his carpenter did a really good job at a fair price.   He promptly fixed any missed spots, which were few.  He was very professional and had a friendly attitude.

Great job!  Mr. Castor did exactly what he said he would do.  He and his help were great and very professional.  I would recommend him to anyone I know.

1. Exterior repair/paint trim was done on time, within estimate and excellent outcome.

2. Interior job was excellent. Involved matching shutter color and wall color and removing or covering wallpaper. Perfect!

3. Replaced exterior trim and repaired flooring in pool house and hole in garage wall. Perfect!

4. Paint exterior trim on rental property and paint concrete floor in sunroom. Perfect!

Bill Castor is the owner of the company.  He was prompt, got it done well and cleaned up the mess.  The price was reasonable.  Overall I have not compared him to anybody else.

Extremely poor overall experience. Did not finish job and what he did was streaked. He failed to do adequate prep work on paneling. I could go on and on about the poor service and outcome of the job. It is my sincere hope that others may read this and avoid having the same experience I had.

We have used him in the past for several other projects. He did good work and had reasonable rates. He was prompt and did what he said he would. I will use him again in the future.
