Computer Repair
Just a couple weeks after Fix in a Zip repaired my laptop by replacing the glass screen to the monitor, over the Labor Day weekend, the glass screen fell off. I pushed it back into place, the glue was still sticky, but it fell off again. Then it fell off again this week. Fix in a zip has ignored my three emails and my two phone messages. When I went in person to the repair facility where I had the original repair done, I learned that they had fled to Texas leaving no other info with their landlord. A web search reveals that their headquarters is in Lubbock. I read a Yelp.com review from a person claiming to be a customer, who specifies that the customer is trying to drum up enough business for the firm to "keep them around" I've called the Lubbock office and sent them an online contact thru their website. I left a message telling them I've contacted my credit card company to withhold payment until they arrange warranty service. Buyer beware! Is this a business that will be around long enough to honor their warranty? Does anyone know if all their work is so shoddy? Do you want to trust that they won't pick up and move again leaving you without the so called one year warranty?
