Covington Construction

I was so lucky to find Covington Construction. I'm not originally from Lubbock and needed someone to renovate my house. I had three bids and I'm glad I chose Covington. The work looks great and is always done in a timely manner. I bought my house and my parents weren't too sure of my decision. Covington wrote up a contract and totally transformed the place. He redid my hardwoods for a fraction of what the big guys bid. I never had to go to the store and pick stuff up, Covington bought the materials and provided me with receipts. I got to keep all the extra paint and they even bought any extra materials from me. They were able to keep all the original baseboards and door trims. Ever since the first contract I signed with Covington last year, I've had them out to my house three more times since then and they're coming to do my backyard fence soon. You may find quality like this at other places, but you can't beat the prices.

WE are so disappointed in the whole process, I understand that things take time to do during construction but maybe if he was here more things would have been done faster, correctly and on time. I still have paint on my windows and trash around my house. He had some work to finish and he finally came to finish it months later, Which in turn he ended up tearing up a door frame, He didn't finish all of the work. What I will say about him is he has a AWESOME worker. I will also say he is good at what he does when he does it. He is bad at blaming the customer for things being their fault and has somewhat of a attitude problem. WE are happy with our home for the most part but WE are going to have to fix things which is something WE didn't want to do.

I had an estimated cost of windows replaced first.  When they were finally done after being put off for a good length of time,  the cost was more than the estimate.  The area was left messy and trashy from all the broken glass and wood that was removed.  Many of the old boards were reused .  Inside trim looked better, but when a problem came up, it was not resolved to my satisfaction.  The mess was too much for me.  It seems a lack of professional care was given to my property.  I consulted others who had used him and all seemed satisfied.  I was not satisfied and the price came out far more than the estimate.
