COUNTER FITTERS

Counter Fitters, a certified Corian dealer, was contracted through a home improvement stores , which no longer uses Counter Fitters. The counter tops were ordered in mid March, with a promised time of 4 to 6 weeks, around May 1st. On May 1st Counter Fitters said they had a machine break and it would be an additional two weeks. May 15th they said it would be two more weeks because an employee had been sick. June 1st, they laughed and told us it would be two more weeks because they were doing counter tops for another home. I found out Counter Fitters were not working on the other home at all. They clearly had no intention of ever doing our counter tops. They planned only to take our money and never supply the counter tops. The home improvement store was great. They refunded our money, found another Corian dealer to do our counter tops, gave us the sink of our choice for $50 (a $300 sink). We ended up not loosing any money because the store honored their agreement with us. Counter Fitters never supplied the ordered goods nor refunded the money to the store or to us. Estimated cost $3500.
