We partnered with Building as Partners (BAP) early in 2021 to help us design and build our “one-of-a-kind” dream home in a small rural community northwest of Lubbock. Our home was completed in June of 2022, and we absolutely love it! When we decided to build, we researched online for local contractors who would build in a rural area. We found and contacted BAP and met with the construction manager for a consultation and estimate. We purchased some land, retained BAP as our builder, and very soon we were working as a team throughout the design phase sharing what we envisioned for our new home. The appraisal came next, and as soon as it was “bank approved”, we were involved with the entire construction process of the build. As with any team on any project, it took much communication, cooperation, time, and patience from us all for it to be a success. We used their online portal/app which kept us in contact with one another daily or as needed. The portal is structured for the client and BAP team to keep up with the phases of the build, upload inspiration photos, share ideas and information, make choices, complete deadlines, and ask questions. BAP encouraged us to ask questions and to voice any concerns we had so that we stayed informed and to keep our minds and “anxieties” at ease. If we had a question, a concern, or if there was an issue, they addressed it immediately and with care. We “shopped ‘til we dropped” designing our home, and as we met our deadlines, BAP kept us in the loop of where we were on our budget every step of the way suggesting ways to cut costs if needed. It was exciting to complete each phase and to see our vision all come together resulting in a beautiful home. Even after our move-in, BAP followed through with any needs on our post move-in checklist and will continue to help us with warranty requests if needed. The BAP team members are very personable and professional at what they do. We never felt they were only in it to make a profit. We truly believe they do this to help their clients to successfully make their dream become a reality…of course, efficiently and at an affordable cost.
