Breck Wofford Brick & Mortar Repair

Breck and his crew did an excellent job renewing the mortar around our house. His price was fair, he and his crew were very skilled in their profession and they were punctual and professional. I would recommend Breck Wofford without reservation.

I spoke with Breck a couple of times and finally set up a time to meet. He did a no-call/no-show. For what it's worth, I had more than one person tell me he does great work, but he just never showed up to quote me, so I couldn't see for myself.

Breck and his crew were quick to respond to my request for brick repair. The work was quality and completed quickly.

Breck is one of the few remaining gentlemen service providers. The experience was wonderful. He knows is subject and is an extremely skilled craftsman! He and his crew showed up on time, and finished early! The 50 year old planters looked brand new!!! Most importantly he treated my mother and I with the upmost respect. I hired Breck to help my Mother in Lubbock, I live out of town. He consistently reported back to me as well as my Mother and kept us completely informed and up to date on his progress. He would only accept payment with both my mother and I were completely satisfied. He left the worksite in beautiful condition. We are more than pleased! Breck is truly amazing. What a find!!!! We highly highly highly recommend this wonderful craftsman and human being.

He did a good job and the price was right. He is very popular around here but he trampled one of my shrubs. I had to have that replaced. I called him and told him he killed my shrub. He didn't come back and repair that and a broken gate and some concrete on the patio. I wasn't very happy with him. I wasn't here, I had just come home. His prices are good but he left such a mess. He came on time.

A few months ago we replaced some picture windows on our closed-in back porch with much smaller double-hung windows. Breck told me he could lay the bricks needed to close in the space around the replacement windows. A month earlier he had repaired some settling cracks in the brick and mortar around my house. He did a satisfactory job but some of the work was sloppy. He talks a lot and convinced me that there was no way to make it look any better. He said that's just how repair work goes. When he showed up to do the work on the back porch, he convinced me give him a $500 draw before they even started(big mistake). He had a hard luck story as to why he needed some money up front so that he could pay his helpers. They did some demo work and began laying the bricks. The work from the first day was very sloppy and about halfway up the wall the bricks started angling away from the house which created a large gap between the bricks and the wall. I'm not talking about an inch or two but four or five inches. The brick was very obviously leaning away from the house. When he showed up the next day I pointed this out and he told me they would tear them out and start over. He also asked for another $500 draw at this point. When I got home the second day the work looked even worse so I asked the guy who installed my windows to come look at it and see if there was anything he could do to trim out the windows and cover up the large gap. He told me that he doesn't know a whole lot about brick laying but he can certainly tell when it's not right. He said it was very obvious that Breck had no idea what he was doing. I went ahead and put a stop-payment on the second check and called Breck to explain that I felt he had gotten in over his head and I was going to have to hire a real brick layer to tear down his work and start all over. I told him I had stopped payment on the second $500 check and would call the first $500 a learning experience. He seemed to understand at the time. Today I received a call from an investigator with the hot checks division of the DA's office stating that Breck was pursuing the additional $500. I told the story to the investigator and he told me that he wasn't going to pursue anything further but either way my experience with Breck was VERY BAD and I would not recommend him to anyone.

They did a fine job for us. They were very courteous of our home and cleaned up after themselves.

He seemed okay. My husband and I both talked to the owner. He was very positive, very neat and he seemed to be very busy with his job as he had lot of job. The guy that came out was very professional and we actually hired him to do the job but they never showed up. It could have been misunderstanding as we had told him to call before he comes because we had dogs to put up. He was supposed to come within few days and we never heard from him since three weeks and have never showed up till now. I was also aware that my husband had told that we were not in a real big rush but we needed it to be done soon so we were not sure whether it was misunderstanding. We would appreciate if he would have called. He had some issues with other jobs so he had called to rearrange the time that he was going to come which was no problem with us at all. He was real good about keeping us informed.
