"Hey, [Member Name Removed], I am sorry to hear that our technician did not include your prepaid discount when we completed our work for you. Was the total accurate and including the discount and the discount was just not shown, or was it not included at all? I would really like for you to give us a call so we can make sure you got the right price and we will make sure to include discounts shown on the final bill from here on out. I apologize for this misunderstanding. Sincerely, Courtney Russell"
Don't offer a $29 deal for a service and walk back in with an actual cost of almost $200. I can't speak for everyone, but this really left a lasting bad feeling in my gut. I'm pretty sure I got screwed royally.
"Dear Mr. [Member Name Removed], I am sorry to see you are upset with this deal and the price was not what you were expecting. I talked to the technician who was out that day and he remembered you and your wife fondly. I showed him this review and he got a little upset because the $29 deal was for a 30 minute diagnosis which normally costs 79.95. He said he stayed out there and looked over your whole system which took about an hour and a half diagnosing your system and then spent time with both of you going over every detail of your A/C unit for your home. He showed you options on what needed to be done to get the unit working and that involved charging the unit with R-22. He tells me he added about 4 1/2 lbs. of refrigerant and only charged you for three because you two were so nice to him. Also, we have very strict upfront pricing. We use ipads on our service calls and so. He built a ticket of necessary repairs needed to get your unit up and running which included prices of these repairs. So, in the end, you did not have to agree to any repairs. I am very sorry you feel as if you got taken, but please believe He did everything he could to make you guys happy and to get your a/c up and running as quickly and as cheaply as he could. The promotion was for a $29 diagnosis of what was keeping your unit from working at that time. You chose to have repairs made at the time of the visit and it was not done with tricks. He completed the diagnosis and brought you the list of things that were not working on your unit to allow you to choose what work you wanted completed along with pricing to complete these repairs. I am so sorry you feel that we took advantage of you and I would encourage you to call us so we can clear the air. We do not want any unhappy customers!"
The crew member tried to skipp two air vents. Guess she was in a hurry, so I showed them to her. Finnaly, at 3:30 pm, they were finished and we could turn on the A/C. That's six hours in a house in June with no A/C. James cut $100 of the price which somewhat eased my annoyance.
The final outcome must have been successful. I can leave the thermostat at higher temps and still be cool. This saves electricity and wear and tear on the A/C unit.
"I am so sorry this was your experience with our company! I can tell you that since we cleaned your ductwork we have replaced the dispatcher who was improperly handling our clients. Also, the female technician who performed the duct cleaning in your home did not live up to our standards either and no longer works here. I apologize again for how you were treated during your encounter with Aire Serv and sincerely hope we have the chance to make it up to you in the future!"
